Volvo opens new showroom in Kolkata

Volvo Cars has extended its dealership network in India by opening a new showroom in the city of Kolkata.

Located on East Topsia Road, Arupota, Kolkata, the dealership is owned by Mr. Chandan Mishra and follows Volvo’s Retail Experience concept. All Volvo cars will be on display, including the V40 hatchback, the V40 Cross Country, the S80 saloon, the XC60 SUV, as well as the top-of-the tier XC90.

Speaking at the inauguration, Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India said,"The year so far has been very promising for us. With a positive YOY growth, Volvo Cars is one of the fastest growing luxury car makers in India. Given the expanding luxury market in India we have launched new models (XC90, V40, S60 & V40CC petrol) and enhanced our service network. In line with its growth strategy, Volvo Cars will continue with its expansion plan in India by adding to its existing network of dealerships across the country.”

Volvo aims to establish six more showrooms by end of the year, taking the total to 20 dealerships.
