Volvo S90 and V90 R-Design revealed

Volvo Cars has globally unveiled the S90 and V90 R-design models with added performance inspired styling.

The Volvo S90 sedan and the V90 estate R-Design models have been unveiled. The R-Design trims have been developed with a sporty setup and tweaked styling for a more sporty feel. Both Volvo S90 and V90 cars have received a stiffened sport chassis in addition to the exterior design changes from the standard cars.

“R-Design delivers an edge to our elegant estate and sedan models in our 90 Series, with a winning combination of a sportier, more responsive drive with clearly visible performance styling,” said Björn Annwall, Senior Vice President Marketing Sales and Customer Service at Volvo Cars.

The front bumper has been restyled with an emphasized front lip with integrated fog lamps. The front grille on the cars are slightly changed and come in piano-black finish. The R-Design also gets diamond cut 5-spoke matte finished alloy wheels for that added sporty look.

The interior of the Volvo S90 and V90 R-Design get new touches to differentiate them from the standard car as well. The trim, the pedals, floor mats, and the sporty contour to the seats and a special steering wheel is added to the cars in addition to a high level interior illumination have been thrown in.

While bookings for the R-Designs have begun in global markets, Volvo is going to launch the S90 sedan in India later in in the year. We fully expect the S90 R-Design to arrive as well.
