The other electric scooter that Honda launched alongside the Activa e was the QC1. Unlike the former, the QC1 is a slow-speed scooter meant for shorter runs. As such, it has a top speed of just 50km/h. And yet, the scooter comes with two ride modes – Eco and Standard. However, given how lethargic the Eco mode feels, you’re better off sticking with Standard mode. Unlike the Activa e, the QC1 comes with a single fixed 1.5kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 80km. At ₹90,022 (ex-showroom), the QC1 doesn’t quite come across as a great value-for-money proposition, especially when you compare it with ICE scooters or even some rival electric scooters.
Even in terms of design, the QC1 doesn’t leave a lasting impression. Sure, it’s made well and looks decent, but there is nothing that sets it apart from the crowd. The ergonomics, thankfully, are not bad, even for taller riders.

Additionally, the QC1 gets a 26-litre boot, making it more practical than the Activa e in terms of storage. It also rides a little better than the Activa e, thanks to its ever so slightly softer suspension and better weight distribution. The instrument cluster is a basic unit with limited functionality, but it’s adequate for general usage.
Unsurprisingly, the QC1 was the slowest two-wheeler in our annual test this year, owing to its hub-mounted electric motor, which produces a mere 2.4bhp. It took almost 2.5 minutes to complete the short loop of the Buddh International Circuit – nearly 28 seconds slower than the next entry on the timing sheets.

Of course, the QC1 is not a machine meant to chase speed, but the lack of punch did hurt its scores in our test. Because of factors like a simple design, average build quality, and a lack of a wow factor, the QC1 finished at the bottom of our ranking sheet.
