Kia India has launched the Sonet X-Line in India with prices starting at Rs 13.39 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The X-Line variant is placed above the top-rung GTX+ and comes with a host of cosmetic changes including an exclusive Matte Graphite paint option, Splendid Sage dual-tone interior theme and crystal-cut alloy wheels with black high gloss.&nbsp;

Kia Sonet X-Line Engine Options

Interested buyers can book the car across all of the company’s showrooms across the country as well as the brand’s official website. The car is offered in a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine with the seven-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine with six-speed automatic transmission.&nbsp;

Kia Sonet X-Line Cosmetic Changes

The car comes with several exclusive bits over the regular GT Line. In terms of design, it gets a redesigned version of the tiger nose grille that now comes with a black high gloss treatment along with the rear skid plates that now feature dark hyper metal accents. Skoda has dropped the wraps on the Vision 7S, its latest all-electric, 7-seater <a href="https://www.autox.com/suv-cars-in-india/" target="_blank">SUV</a> concept. Now, this is an important product for the company for a multitude of reasons like carrying the new logo and a modern design language. The company has confirmed that the car will enter production by 2026.

The Vision 7S gives us a glimpse of the company’s future design language. It comes with strong vertical elements, curved surfaces, and simple cuts and creases. Evidently, this is a major leap from the brand’s current design language.

Another aspect to be noted is the absence of a conventional grille. <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/skoda/" target="_blank">Skoda</a> says that this is done to make the car future-proof and ready for complete electrification. Apart from the grille, the car also gets a pair of new T-shaped headlights and taillights.

In terms of interiors, the company showcased the layout ahead of the reveal. It gets two seating layouts - Drive and Relax. The Drive mode is reserved for when the car is on the move while the Relax mode is for the car when its standing where all the seats recline and the central screen rotates to a horizontal position.&nbsp;

In addition to that, Skoda says that the car’s cabin has several clever touches like the large-scale use of haptic controls, a child seat integrated into the second-row centre console, dual digital displays, magnetic smartphone holder on the back of the front seats. It is also likely that the umbrella slot in the front doors will make it to the production version.

In terms of powertrain, the car gets an 89kWh battery pack with up to 200kWh charging capacity which should make it capable of fast charging time of just under an hour. The car is based on VW’s MEB platform and is likely to share its electric roots with products from the house of <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/volkswagen/" target="_blank">Volkswagen</a> and Audi. The car is expected to return a range of around 600km. The car will get FWD as standard with an option of AWD.

Skoda Vision 7S SUV concept revealed, likely to enter production in 2026

The Skoda Vision 7S SUV previews the company's future design language as well as its plans for future electrification. While we are yet to see the elements that will make it into production, the car will be an interesting cutout in the company's lineup.

On the outside, the new version has retained most bits as the outgoing one. However, it drives on a set of new alloy wheels and gets a new paint option in addition to the existing palette of Agate Red, Metal Ash, Warm White and Metal Black.&nbsp;

On the inside, the car's most prominent change comes with a new advanced i-Smart touchscreen infotainment system which comes with 75 connectivity features. The company states that owners can now use the app as a remote for audio, AC and ambient lighting in addition to the features in the previous version. The system which was earlier only compatible with Apple Watch is now compatible with Android smartwatches as well.&nbsp;

<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mg/" target="_blank">MG</a> says that the new MaymyIndia interface will give information about real-time weather and AQI. It also comes with a new integrated Discover App that easily finds the nearest essentials. In addition to this, the car also comes with a new Park Plus head unit app that lets user book and pay in advance for parking spots.&nbsp;

In terms of powertrain, the car comes with sole diesel options and both 4x2 as well as 4x4 drivetrain options. Under the hood is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel motor which will be mated to an 8 speed automatic gearbox and output 212bhp.

Kia is all set to launch the special-edition Sonet X Line in India. The company teased the carmaker a few days ago and now reports citing sources close to the matter have3 revealed more information on the car, confirming a few of our speculations. Rest assured, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/kia/" target="_blank">Kia</a> Sonet X Line will follow in the footsteps of its elder sibling, Seltos with the changes in the X Line.

Exterior and Interior&nbsp;

Like the Seltos X Line, the Sonet will also get the signature matte graphite paint option. In addition to this, the grille will be finished in gloss black with a knurled pattern, while the front and rear skid plates also get a piano-black finish with dark metal accents.

The same gloss black theme is carried forward onto the fog lamp garnishes as well as the ORVMs. The door will get a dark metal accent and other notable updates on the outside will come in the form of 16-inch alloy wheels finished in a gloss black alongside brake callipers that will be finished in silver.&nbsp;

Similarly, on the inside, the car will come with a new dual-tone colour scheme and a new lack headliner. Apart from that, the leatherette upholstery on the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/kia/sonet/" target="_blank">Sonet </a>X Line will come with orange stitching and X-Line logos. Like the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/kia/seltos/" target="_blank">Seltos</a>, the Sonet will also be based on the top-rung GTX+ trim.&nbsp;

Engine Options

As mentioned before, the Sonet X Line will be based on the current lineup’s top variant. This means the car will be offered in two engine options including a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine outputting 120hp and __Nm of torque which will be on sale alongside a 1.5-litre diesel unit delivering &nbsp;115hp in the automatic version. Transmission options on the car will be the same as well including the iMT and DCT for petrol and manual/torque converter automatic for the diesel.&nbsp;

Kia Sonet X Line details revealed ahead of launch in India

The Kia Sonet is nearing its two-year anniversary in India and the company is planning to launch the X Line version of the car in India. Ahead of its debut in India, we came across a few details of the car that you should know.

The Rally Edition comes with a host of additions to dial the motorcycle's off-roading prowess to 11.

Hero has commenced deliveries of the 2022 <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/hero/xpulse-200-4v/" target="_blank">Xpulse 200 4V</a> Rally Edition in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom), which means that it demands a premium of Rs 16,000 over the base model.&nbsp;

The motorcycle gets the brand’s factory racing colours of white and red and is powered by the same 200cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine, producing 18.9bhp and 17.35Nm of torque.&nbsp;

The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/hero/xpulse-200/" target="_blank">Xpulse 200</a> was already a seasoned off-road motorcycle, but what dials things to eleven in the Rally Edition is its altered dynamics. The motorcycle gets fully-adjustable front forks with 250mm travel and a 10-step adjustable rear shock with 220mm travel. The seat is now higher at 885mm as opposed to the 825mm of the standard version. In addition to this, the ground clearance has also increased by 50mm. The motorcycle also gets a longer gear shift lever and a longer side stand.&nbsp;

The braking hardware of the standard version has been retained, and the motorcycle rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels wrapped in dual-purpose rubber. Other things that have been retained include the LED lighting and Bluetooth connectivity features in the instrument panel.&nbsp;

While <a href="https://www.autox.com/upcoming-bikes/" target="_blank">Hero</a> has said that the Rally Edition will be a limited run, the number of units that will exit the production ramp has yet not been disclosed. Apart from the rally edition, a few internal documents that were leaked recently also suggest that Hero is also planning to offer a Rally Kit with the 4V. While not much information about it is available yet, we expect the company to introduce it soon.&nbsp;

Audi has launched the new Q3 in India with prices starting at Rs 44.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The company will commence deliveries at the end of this year and the car will be offered in two variants - Premium Plus and Technology.&nbsp;

Starting with the design, upfront, the car will get a new single-frame grille with an octagonal design and vertical slats. This is flanked by a pair of wedge-shaped headlamps with LED DRLs. It gets gloss black cladding all around and drives on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, black shark-fin antenna and roof rails, wraparound two-piece LED taillights and a dual-tone rear bumper.

On the inside, the 2022 <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/audi/q3/" target="_blank">Audi Q3</a> gets a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, &nbsp;Audi Drive Select, electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, adjustable second-row seats, cruise control, a fully digital instrument cluster, Audi Smartphone interface, MMI Navigation Plus, wireless charging, gesture-controlled tailgate, and a 180 W 10 speaker Audi sound system.

In terms of powertrain, the car gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, TFSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 187bhp and 320Nm of torque via a seven-speed automatic transmission. The power is sent to all four wheels via the brand’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. This helps it sprint to triple-digit speeds in 7.3 seconds. <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/audi/" target="_blank">Audi</a> is offering the first 500 customers of the Audi Q3 a five-year extended warranty and a three-year /50,000 km service value package.

2022 Audi Q3 launched in India at Rs 44.89 lakh - Details Here

Audi has debuted the 2022 Q3 in India with prices starting at Rs 44.89 (ex-showroom) for the Premium Plus variant and going up to Rs 50.39 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Technology variant.

While the 125, 200 and 250 Duke get one new paint option, the 390 gets two brand new options.

KTM and Husqvarna will be revamping their lineup in India, and we recently came across a &nbsp;few changes on the cosmetic front. Images of the motorcycles downing new paint options have surfaced online and here’s everything you need to know about it.&nbsp;

The new updates bring one new colour option for the 125, 200 and <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/250-duke/" target="_blank">250 Duke</a>, while the 390 come with two new options.&nbsp;

Starting with the 125 Duke, the motorcycle gets a new white/orange/blue paint option along with a black frame and white subframe. The motorcycle retains the electric orange shade while the white option has been discontinued.&nbsp;

On to the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/200-duke/" target="_blank">200 Duke</a>, the motorcycle gets a new base grey complemented by blue/white/orange accents alongside an all-black frame and subframe. The electronic orange option has made it to the new version as well. However, KTM has taken the ceramic white option off the shelf.&nbsp;

The 250 Duke gets the most minimal tweak with a new grey/black base colour with hints of orange, as well as an orange front fender and headlight shrouds with an orange subframe bolted onto a black frame. <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/" target="_blank">KTM</a> has carried forward the Dark Galvano option while the silver option faces the axe.&nbsp;

In the same breath, it is to be mentioned that the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/husqvarna/" target="_blank">Husqvarna</a> Svartpilen will also come in a brand-new black/blue/beige option, with the current one being replaced.&nbsp;

Lastly, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/390-duke/" target="_blank">390 Duke</a> gets the biggest cosmetic tweak of them all. The Dark Galvano paint option which was discontinued for the 250 Duke has been introduced for the 390. There is also a new Liquid Metal option that includes an Orange base with blue/black elements at a few places. Both the colour options come with an all-black frame and subframe. This is also the first time that the motorcycle does not come with orange wheels.

The 2022 Ducati Panigale V4s come with a host of changes to the core of the motorcycles.

Ducati has launched the 2022 <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/panigale-v4/" target="_blank">Panigale V4</a> range in India with prices starting at Rs 26.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has launched three variants of the motorcycles with prices going up to Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the SP2 version.

If the outgoing version of the Panigale V4 wasn't enough of a manic machine, 2022 comes up with updated aerodynamics, ergonomics, engine, chassis and electronics as well. That being said, the overall design of the motorcycle is retained. This means there is the same twin-pod headlight assembly along with a muscular fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, and a single-sided swingarm. However, the winglets on the side of the fairing have become more compact and thinner than before. The company claims that it provides up to 37kg of downforce at 300kmph.

Buyers opting for the SP2 variant can also choose the Winter Test Livery that comes with a matte carbon finish with bright red accents, a billet aluminium steering system with the bike’s name and number, a rider seat with dedicated material and a V4 SP2 logo, and exposed brushed aluminium tank. It also comes with several weight-saving elements including Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, carbon fibre wings, carbon fibre heel guards, carbon fibre front fenders, and STM-EVO SBK nine-disc dry clutch.

At its heart, the motorcycles are powered by a 1,103cc V4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that puts out &nbsp;212.5bhp at 13,000rpm and 123.6Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm through a six-speed transmission. Electronic rider aids in the motorcycle come in the form of four power modes - Full, High, Medium and Low. Also included are Bosch cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, power launch, bi-directional quick shifter, and auto tyre calibration.

Suspension duties on the motorcycle are managed by 43mm fully-adjustable Showa BPF front forks and a fully-adjustable Sachs mono-shock at the back. The higher S and SP2 variants, meanwhile, get Ohlins-sourced front forks and rear mono-shock – both fully and electronically adjustable. Braking apparatus on the new versions include a twin 330mm front and a single 245mm rotor with a two-piston calliper at the back.

In the Indian market, the motorcycle goes against the top-tier performance offerings including the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/kawasaki/ninja-zx-10r/" target="_blank">Kawasaki ZX-10R</a> and the BMW S1000RR.

2022 Ducati Panigale V4 range launched in India, prices start at Rs 26.49 lakh

The 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 range has finally arrived in India. The company has introduced the V4, V4 S and V4 SP2 variants in the country with prices going up to Rs 40.99 lakh for the top-tier SP2 version.

Santosh Iyer is also the youngest person to assume the role in India.

Mercedes-Benz India has announced that it has appointed Santosh Iyer as its new managing director and CEO. Iyer will take assume his new role starting from January 1, 2023. The 46-year-old will replace Martin Schwenk as the first Indian as well as the youngest to take over the helm of affairs at the company’s Indian operations.&nbsp;

After a successful four-year stint as the MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India. Martin Schwenk will now take on the same role for the company’s Thailand operations on January 1 as well.&nbsp;

Schwenk has been known to have played an important role in driving electrification and digitisation initiatives. The company statement reads, “Under his stewardship, Mercedes-Benz India successfully mitigated the COVID-19 crisis. His vision, strategic collaborations, and deep engagement with people, partners and customers, enormously contributed to building a future-ready, transparent and highly people-centric organisation.”

Marting Schwenk said, “I will personally remember India for the warmth and generosity of the people, our partners and customers. Suzuki has announced that it will set up a new global R&amp;D electric facility in India.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Suzuki Motor Corporation (SUZUKI) inaugurated a new R&amp;D Center in Delhi on 28 August. The inauguration was done on Suzuki’s 40th anniversary of its Indian business, which was held at the Mahatma Mandir international convention centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. SRDI is wholly owned by Suzuki.&nbsp;

Through the establishment of SRDI, the company aims at establishing a framework to support and strengthen its network by linking the development departments of Japan and India, thereby developing technologies needed by society together with the rich technical talent in the country. In preparation for this, SRDI will begin recruiting in India.&nbsp;

During the event, SUZUKI’s President Toshihiro Suzuki said, "Through making technology development in new fields by establishing an R&amp;D centre in India wholly owned by <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/maruti-suzuki/" target="_blank">SUZUKI,</a> we will strengthen our competitiveness and R&amp;D capabilities not only in the Indian market but also globally."&nbsp;

During the last financial year, Suzuki Group produced about 2.8 million automobiles across the world. Of those, more than 1.6 million units, or about 60 per cent, were produced in India. Also, exports from India reached the highest ever of about 240,000 units last year.

Suzuki Motor to set up Rs 18 crore EV R&D facility in India
