Positioned in the middle of GoBoult’s Mustang smartwatch lineup, the Racer promises strong features, distinctive design, and everyday usability.

The Mustang Racer sits in the middle of GoBoult's Mustang-themed smartwatch pack, yet still boasts many interesting features. So, how good is this watch, and should you be spending your money on it? Time to find out!
The unboxing experience is fun, and the quality of the box, along with the graphics on it, makes it look premium. There is even a Ford Official Licensed Product sticker on the side of the box, a certificate of authenticity inside, and a few stickers. The watch itself feels well-built, and I particularly like the quality of the strap. It comes in two colours –Apex Blue and Black Blaze. I tested the former and quite liked its blue-and-bronze colour combination.
The 1.43-inch AMOLED screen looks good and is bright enough to remain usable even in direct sunlight. What makes it even better is its Always-On Display, so you do not have to shake your wrist every time you want to check the time. Confusingly, GoBoult has not clearly labelled the option in the menu – it appears as ‘Screen Clock’, which is not particularly helpful. The touch response is smooth, and all the usual tracking metrics are present. On the right side are a crown shaped like a tyre tread and another button resembling a paddle shifter. I do like these small touches, especially since they are functional as well.
There are five watch faces available as standard, and most of them are Mustang-themed. While some of the digital designs look quite good, the analogue ones failed to impress me because of their complicated layouts and lack of useful information. This is not a major criticism, as you can download additional watch faces through the companion app and find something that looks good and is functional. One small annoyance, however, is that the watch face occasionally changes on its own, presumably because your wrist accidentally brushes against the crown, which is used to switch between faces. The software suite otherwise works much the same way as it does on the Mustang Stallion.
Minor niggles aside, the Mustang Racer is a good product for its price. For a relatively modest sum, you get a smartwatch with official Mustang branding and a wide range of features. As the middle option in the lineup, it strikes a good balance between price and functionality while also being visually appealing. It is certainly a solid choice for anyone who is a fan of the famous muscle car.
