With tubeless tyres becoming the norm, a tyre inflator has turned into a must-have accessory for motorists. In fact, more and more carmakers are now ditching spare wheels altogether and replacing them with compact, company-fitted inflators — the new Maruti Suzuki Victoris being a prime example. At the same time, keeping your car’s interior clean is just as important, especially since that’s where you spend most of your time. To address both these needs, Uno Minda has come up with a 2-in-1 tyre inflator and vacuum cleaner combo. Sounds too convenient to be true, right? Well, we got our hands on one to see if it really delivers in everyday conditions.
Straight out of the box, the device looks and feels fairly premium. It weighs around 1.6 kg and features an all-plastic construction. While the finish is decent, the build quality doesn’t inspire the same confidence as more heavy-duty inflators — there are a few flimsy-feeling bits here and there. Because it packs both a compressor and a vacuum motor, it’s also a bit bulkier than regular single-purpose inflators. It’s rated at 150W and draws power from your car’s 12V DC socket. You get a generous 4m power cable, long enough to reach all corners of most vehicles. However, the air hose is quite short, and the nozzle uses rubber fittings instead of more durable metal ones. The unit features an analogue pressure gauge, a claimed max pressure of 150 PSI, and even a built-in LED light for night-time use.
In our tests, it handled inflation duties without any issues, though it’s not the quickest. Bringing a flat tyre up to full pressure took roughly 10–12 minutes — adequate for emergencies but far too slow for regular use. The rubber hose and nozzles also tend to heat up during prolonged operation, so it’s best used sparingly or as a backup option rather than your primary inflator.

Switching to the vaccum cleaner mode is simple — just flip the toggle switch on the handle. In this application, it does a commendable job of sucking in the dirt, dust, and debris from seats, mats, and tight spaces. It also comes with brush and crevice attachments, which make it easier to reach tight and tricky gaps between seats and panels. However, after about 5–7 minutes of continuous use, the motor begins to heat up, and the plastic casing gets noticeably warm.
With its 2-in-1 inflator and vacuum cleaner, Uno Minda has made a clever attempt to bundle two handy tools into one. For the most part, it works well — it’s convenient, compact, and practical for emergency use and basic interior upkeep. Plus, at an asking price of ₹2,999, it’s a useful accessory to keep in your car’s boot.
