Uno Minda, a global supplier of advanced automotive components, has unveiled plans to launch a new manufacturing facility in Haryana dedicated to two-wheeler alloy wheels. This significant investment reinforces the company’s commitment to expanding its production capabilities amid surging domestic demand. The state-of-the-art plant will integrate cutting-edge technology and optimised production processes, ensuring high-quality output and improved operational efficiency. According to Uno Minda, the new facility will help strengthen its market position, stimulate local economic growth, and contribute meaningfully to India’s Make in India initiative. The expansion marks a pivotal milestone in the company’s ongoing strategy to innovate and lead in the competitive automotive sector.

Uno Minda's New Manufacturing Facility: Key Details

Uno Minda Limited has received board approval to establish a new manufacturing plant for two-wheeler alloy wheels in Bawal, Haryana. The project involves a capital investment of approximately Rs 200 crore, funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt, with operations slated to begin in the second quarter of FY27.

Simultaneously, Uno Minda has commenced commercial production at its expanded facility in Supa, Maharashtra, adding 20 lakh units to its existing capacity. The expansion, announced in May 2024, builds on the company’s initial entry into the two-wheeler alloy wheel market in FY21 with a greenfield plant in Supa, which originally had a capacity of 40 lakh wheels. Since then, the company has nearly doubled that capacity to 80 lakh units annually.

With the upcoming Bawal facility, the company’s total annual production capacity for two-wheeler alloy wheels will reach approximately 95 lakh units, further strengthening its leadership in the segment.
