Honda Jazz Long Term Report December 2016

I don’t know about you, but driving a nice car just brightens up my day. It makes everything feel better, in fact the world looks better. The upmarket interiors make me feel like I am in a cushy place and every time when people look at this attractive car, it gives me a good feeling too.

Turn up the Jazz

I don’t know about you, but driving a nice car just brightens up my day. It makes everything feel better, in fact the world looks better. The upmarket interiors make me feel like I am in a cushy place and every time when people look at this attractive car, it gives me a good feeling too.

On this account, I am happy to report that the Honda Jazz gives me this very feeling. The first gen Jazz was in a class of its own. And it’s much the same story with this second generation model which fits the bill perfectly as a premium hatchback. The cabin is very spacious and can seat five people comfortably. Add to this, the dual tone interiors combined with the large glass house give the interiors an airy appeal. The front seats are fairly comfortable and offer decent lower back support. I am yet to try out the rear seats though.

Logbook

If I have a complaint here it is that, this second-from-top V variant does not get a touch-screen infotainment system which means you get a rather outdated 5-inch display that is only good for the rear view camera with minimal display for the stereo.

If I am honest though, none of this matters. For this is the diesel fueled Jazz which comes with a 100bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine with an ARAI rated efficiency figure of 27.3 km/l. And my Delhi - Gurgaon commute is resulting in 23.2 km/l, which frankly is more than impressive!
