Aston Martin F1 Team and Aramco have announced a significant five-year extension of their partnership, making Aramco the sole official title sponsor of the team. An announcement of a multi-year agreement has taken their strategic relationship, which began in the 2022 Formula One season, to the next level, extending their partnership until 2028. Importantly, under this all-inclusive deal, Cognizant will withdraw its branding from the title, allowing Aramco to shine. After a name change, they'll be known as the "Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team."

Because of this long-term agreement, Aramco will be able to fund the team's research and development efforts. The team's car is expected to benefit greatly from Aramco's knowledge, which is focused on creating innovative fuel and lubricants. By recommitting to this goal, Aston Martin and Aramco are showing that they are committed to working together to innovate Formula One racing.

Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Executive Chairman, said: "We are very proud to continue and strengthen our successful partnership with Aramco. We already enjoy an important strategic relationship and their support as our title partner for the next five years is a clear demonstration of our shared ambition. Since 2022, they have played a key role in Aston Martin's Formula One journey and their contribution will only become more significant in the years ahead. We are working together on several key initiatives, including the development of advanced fuels for 2026, when we begin our Honda works power unit partnership. Aramco's expertise and products will make a real contribution to our on-track performance and add significant value in many other areas of our organization, especially at our new AMR Technology Campus."

Nabeel A. Al-Jama', Aramco Executive Vice President Human Resources & Corporate Services, said: "We are delighted to become the exclusive title partner of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. Since partnering with the team in 2022, we have witnessed the team take significant strides forward and have enjoyed celebrating some very special moments, including eight podiums this season. The future for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team is bright, and today's news reaffirms our long-term commitment to Aston Martin where Aramco's expertise and technology can contribute to advanced car performance, especially with our development of advanced fuels and lubricants."

After a surprise switch to Aston Martin for the 2023 season, two-time world champion Fernando Alonso achieved outstanding achievements, finishing fourth in the drivers' championship.

Fernando Alonso said: "If you’d told me before this weekend that I’d finish fourth in the Drivers’ Championship, I wouldn’t have believed you – so this is a real gift. I’m really pleased with the way I’ve driven all season – I think this has been my best, most consistent season of driving since 2012. I think I got the maximum from the car all season. The whole Aston Martin team has worked incredibly hard, and I am already looking forward to going into the winter and starting work for next season. We started this year as an underdog, but we’ll start 2024 very much in the spotlight; we need to be ready for that.”

Even though McLaren passed Aston Martin in the development race, the British team still ranked among the grid's most improved. The squad underwent an incredible metamorphosis throughout the season, going from 55 points in 2022 to an astounding 280 points at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
