McLaren will compete in the 2026 Formula 1 season under the new name McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team. This is the team’s first title sponsor since Vodafone in 2013 and follows the McLaren-Honda branding used between 2015 and 2017. McLaren’s partnership with Mastercard began in July 2024 as a multi-year sponsorship. Mastercard has now become the team’s naming partner, using Formula 1 as a platform to increase engagement with fans and support McLaren’s operations.
As part of the agreement, Mastercard has introduced the ‘Team Priceless’ programme. This will offer fans access to experiences such as garage visits, track hotlaps, and meetings with drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Zak Brown, CEO, McLaren Racing, said: 'There is no one more important to us than our awesome fans, so I could not be more delighted to enter this next chapter in our partnership with Mastercard with a promise to our Papaya Family around the world: that we will continue to put our fans first, bring them even closer to the team, and offer incredible experiences. Mastercard is a fantastic partner who shares our passion and values, so to have them on board as naming partner will offer us the perfect launch pad to keep pushing on and off track - and I cannot wait to see Team Priceless come to life in 2026.'
