Dan Ticktum achieved his maiden Formula E victory at Round 12 in Jakarta. He successfully held off a strong challenge from Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara, who finished second, while Andretti’s Nico Mueller secured third place. The 38-lap race was marked by intense competition, culminating in Ticktum’s win and Mortara’s first podium of the season.
Edoardo Mortara's second-place finish was a major success for Mahindra Racing, reflecting the team's growing competitiveness in Season 11. Mortara, having performed well during qualifying, kept the momentum going throughout the race. Even though he just missed the championship, his performance netted valuable points for the team.
This podium by Mortara helped Mahindra Racing preserve its fifth position in the standings and is only six points behind McLaren. This success comes after Nyck de Vries' Monaco second-place finish, collectively showing the team's ability to fight for leading positions as the season continues.
With two podiums in Season 11, Mahindra Racing has undoubtedly demonstrated its capability to fight at the top. Mortara's performance in Jakarta especially reflected the team's improved race pace and strategic conduct. This provides a solid platform for the remaining rounds.
