KTM MotoGP Rider Maverick Vinales

Maverick Vinales (Tech3 KTM) absolutely smashed the Aragon lap record, clocking a blistering 1:45.964s on his final run. He just pipped Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) by a mere 0.006s. Early pace-setter Marc Marquez (Ducati), who initially held the top spot with a 1:45.749s, eventually finished third. Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini) secured fourth, just ahead of Pedro Acosta (KTM) in fifth, despite Acosta having a tumble at Turn 7. Further down the order, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) showed decent progress to claim ninth. Franco Morbidelli (VR46) bagged a respectable sixth position. Joan Mir (Honda) looked promising with a carbon fibre swingarm, finishing 10th, though his team-mates Johann Zarco and Somkiat Chantra struggled, ending up 17th and 22nd respectively. Trackhouse debutant Manuel Gonzalez completed the day in 21st.

Aprilia trialled a revised front fairing with simplified shaping and tweaked wings, receiving positive feedback. Work also focused on engine mapping, chassis setup, and electronics to enhance corner-exit stability.

Ducati

Ducati riders tested a pre-season fairing, with Bagnaia and Marquez remaining unconvinced. Aldeguer worked on front-end feel, while Alex Marquez adjusted suspension and electronics. Di Giannantonio also spent time adapting to the new fairing.

Yamaha

Quartararo continued with the latest aero, while Rins compared new and old swingarms. Pramac Yamaha also evaluated both swingarm versions, focusing on incremental improvements.

Honda

Honda’s main focus was a carbon swingarm, tested by Mir and Zarco. No major upgrades were introduced, with HRC opting for small refinements to the RC213V instead.

KTM
