Ford Super Mustang Mach-E

Ford Performance has revealed the all-electric Super Mustang Mach-E, built to take on the 102nd Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2025. This high-performance electric SUV is not just a concept—it’s a purpose-built race car developed by Ford and motorsport experts for one of the world’s most demanding mountain races. The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is a 20 km course with 156 turns, climbing to an altitude of 14,115 feet. Electric vehicles like the Super Mustang Mach-E have an edge at such heights, where combustion engines lose power. Romain Dumas, known for his record run in the Volkswagen ID.R, will drive the electric SUV for Ford at this iconic event.

Aerodynamics play a major role in the Super Mustang Mach-E’s design. It features a large roof-mounted rear wing and aggressive front splitter that generate 6,125 pounds of downforce—more than most GT3 cars. While Ford hasn’t disclosed all the specs, the EV is expected to include multiple electric motors, torque vectoring, and a battery cooling system to tackle Pikes Peak’s extreme demands.
