Verstappen Racing has confirmed a multi-year partnership with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport for GT3 racing from the 2026 season. The team will compete in the GT World Challenge Europe with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, covering both the Sprint Cup and Endurance Cup. Race operations will continue with 2 Seas Motorsport, ensuring the same technical structure remains in place. The agreement brings Verstappen Racing into the Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing network. For GT racing followers, this move signals a clear long-term plan built around a proven GT3 platform used widely across European championships.

The Sprint Cup line-up features Chris Lulham returning for a second season with the team. He will be joined by Daniel Juncadella, who has prior experience racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars. The pairing will contest five Sprint Cup rounds at European circuits. Sprint races place emphasis on clean starts, close battles and sharp strategy across short distances. By retaining Lulham and adding Juncadella, Verstappen Racing continues its approach of combining continuity with experience in competitive GT3 environments.
For the Endurance Cup, Jules Gounon joins Lulham and Juncadella to complete the driver line-up. Gounon is a Mercedes-AMG factory driver, which places the entry in the Pro category. The trio will take part in five endurance events, including the 24 Hours of Spa. Endurance racing adds a different challenge, with shared stints, traffic management and long race hours playing a central role. This structure aligns the team closely with Mercedes-AMG’s main GT3 effort in Europe.
Stefan Wendl, Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing said: 'We are delighted that Verstappen Racing has chosen to field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the GT World Challenge Europe. With 2 Seas Motorsport, the project is supported by a highly experienced team that has already achieved numerous successes and championship titles with our car. Accordingly, we are very pleased about this extremely ambitious and promising project, as well as about another high-calibre entry in both the Sprint and Endurance programmes of the GT World Challenge Europe.'
