<p>Bajaj plans to introduce several new models to expand its lineup in India. Among these new Bajaj bikes will be its first CNG-powered motorcycle, which has been spotted on our streets on numerous occasions. The most recent spy pictures show the Bajaj CNG model next to the Platina 110, implying that the automaker may be contrasting the two, which could result in comparable performance levels.&nbsp;However, since compressed natural gas has a lower power density than petrol, the CNG bike will require a larger displacement to match the performance of its 110cc petrol-powered counterpart.&nbsp;As seen in spy pictures, the much-anticipated Bajaj CNG bike has an extended, and flat saddle that might accommodate the CNG cylinder under it.&nbsp;There's also a noticeable panel gap on the fuel tank, which appears to be a flap to access the nozzle for refilling. It is expected that the bike will have a smaller fuel tank that can be used if the CNG runs out.&nbsp;On the left switchgear, there is a blue switch that is probably for switching between the fuelling options.</p>

<h2>Bajaj CNG Bike: More Highlights&nbsp;</h2>

<p>Although the engine's specifications are still unclear, spy photographs indicate that the bike will have a monoshock and&nbsp;telescopic front forks. It may be equipped with a rear drum and a front disc for braking. The bike is also anticipated to include a single-piece seat, grab rails, bulb turn lights, handguards, engine crash covers, and road-biased tyres on 17-inch wheels.</p>

<p>While Bajaj is yet to release any information, market reports suggest the new CNG bike will be available for purchase sometime between April and June this year. It is anticipated to cost approximately Rs 80,000.&nbsp;Given that the upcoming Bajaj model will be the country's first CNG motorcycle, it will have no direct rivals.&nbsp;However, it will face competition from various economical 100–110cc bikes in India, including the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/honda/shine-100/">Honda Shine 100</a>, the Bajaj Platina 110, the Hero Splendor Plus, the TVS Radeon, and more.&nbsp;</p>

It sold 1,70,527 2Ws in the domestic market, exhibiting a YoY growth of 42% year-over-year over the 1,20,335 vehicles delivered in February 2023. This February, 1,24,157 two-wheelers were shipped abroad, as opposed to 1,15,021 units in February of last year. This led to a rise of 8% from the previous year.</p>

The upcoming Bajaj CNG motorcycle has been spotted next to the Platina 110 in India. Though there will be no direct competitors, the bike will rival in the market with the TVS Radeon, the Honda Shine 100,  and more in the market.

This&nbsp;Platina 110 variant&nbsp;is the first and only 110cc motorcycle featuring ABS.</strong></em></p>

<p>The new <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/bajaj/">Bajaj</a> Platina 110 ABS is powered by&nbsp;a 115.45cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine, which produces 9.81Nm of peak&nbsp;torque at 5,000rpm&nbsp;and 8.4bhp of maximum power&nbsp;at 7,000rpm.&nbsp;The engine is paired with a 5-speed transmission.</p>

<p>In terms of hardware and features,&nbsp;the 2023 Platina 110 ABS gets telescopic&nbsp;front forks and two spring-loaded shock absorbers. The front disc brake setup comes with a&nbsp;single-channel anti-lock braking system, and at the rear, it gets a drum brake setup.&nbsp;The bike also gets single-channel ABS for enhanced safety.</p>

This motorcycle&nbsp;comes in four colour options –&nbsp;Ebony Black, Cocktail Wine Red, and Saffire Blue. The 2023 Bajaj Platina 110 ABS has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 72,224 (ex-showroom, Delhi). In the 110cc segment, the new Bajaj Platina variant is the first and only motorcycle equipped with ABS.

The Platina 110 has been launched at Rs 49,197 (ex-showroom Delhi), considerably more affordable than its rivals in question. Despite being more affordable, the Platina 110 packs a lot of goodies.</p>

<p>Commenting on the introduction of the new variant, Eric Vas, President Motorcycle Business said “Bajaj Platina has always been synonymous with exceptionally high mileage and superior comfort. The Platina 110 now joins the highly successful existing Platina 100 ES to offer a premium option to 100cc consumers. Freedom from jerks due to rough roads is a necessary requirement for motorcycle customers, the new Platina 110 is the best product for customers who value ride comfort and safety.”</p>

<p>First things first, in line with the upcoming norm that makes combined braking system (CBS) mandatory for all two-wheelers less than 125cc, Bajaj has introduced their version of CBS – Anti-Skid Braking System, in the new Platina &nbsp;110. Other notable features include tubeless tyres as a standard fitment and 110mm dual spring nitrox shock absorbers. While Bajaj promises 20 per cent lesser jerks on the Platina 100 ES, they claim this 110 to be even more comfortable thanks to the suspension hardware. At the heart, the Platina 110 makes 8.6 horses and at 9.6Nm makes more torque than any other motorcycle in its class. The engine comes paired with a 4-speed transmission.</p>

<p>To ensure that the Platina110 is distinguished well from its 100cc sibling, Bajaj has draped it in new decals. The Platina 110 is available in three colour options - Ebony black with grey decals, Ebony black with blue decals and Cocktail wine red.</p>
