Bajaj Platina 110 Highlights
The Bajaj Platina 110 boasts a minor yet significantly crucial upgrade to the erstwhile Platina, as it now comes with the Discover’s 110cc engine. The Discover’s engine has made the 110 more tractable than the 100cc sibling. The alloy wheels are also carried over from the Discover, and the other cosmetic changes are the fuel tank decals and the 110cc badging. Other than that, the Platina 110 is a no-frills conventional motorcycle just like its smaller sibling, the Platina Comfortec.
The Bajaj Platina 110 is a more powerful and better-looking model than the Platina 100. Coming to the dimensions, the bike is 2,000mm in overall length, 840mm in width and 1,060mm in overall height. The ground clearance of the commuter is 190mm while its fuel tank capacity is 11.5-litres. The total kerb weight of the bike is 108kg.
Engine & Transmission
The Bajaj Platina 110, as mentioned above, gets the Discover’s 115cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor, which produces 8.6 horsepower and 9.8Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. Efficiency wise, the Bajaj Platina 110 mileage is said to be 75km/l.
The Platina 110 rides on hydraulic telescopic suspension at the front and a trailing arm with co-axial hydraulic shock absorb at the rear. It is based on a tubular single down tube with lower cradle chassis. The stopping power comes from 110mm drums at either end. Moreover, it gets a 2.75*17 front tyre a 3.00*17 rear tyre.
The Bajaj Platina 110 new model gets a conventional instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and odometer. The headlamp and tail lamp both miss out on LEDs, and, therefore, comes powered by halogen bulbs as standard. The DRL is located above the main headlamp, like the Platina 100.
