The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 was already being exported to countries like Turkey and Nepal and has finally been launched in the Indian market.</p>

The Pulsar brand has been the market leader of sports bikes in India for the last 16 years. With the launch of NS160, we aim to strengthen our leadership in sports motorcycles.”</p>

<p>In terms of design, the Pulsar NS160 looks more or less identical to the NS200 - it has the same headlight, fuel tank, split seats and tail light from its bigger sibling. In fact, it is also based on the same perimeter frame and comes with the front telescopic forks-rear monoshock suspension setup. At the heart, the NS160 is powered by a 160cc single-cylinder motor that is good for 15.3bhp and 14.6Nm. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. Braking duties are performed by a 240mm disc up front and a 130mm disc at the back. The NS160 tips the scale at 142 kilograms making it 10kg lighter than its larger sibling.</p>

<p>In Bajaj's product portfolio, the NS160 will sit above the Pulsar 150 and 180 offerings. <p>Bajaj has silently launched the smaller Pulsar NS160 in India. The home-grown manufacturer has started dispatching the motorcycle to select dealerships across the country. While bookings are now open for the motorcycle, Bajaj hasn’t officially revealed the price of the Pulsar NS160 as yet. The company is expected to announce the price of the Pulsar NS160 early in July once the GST comes into effect. That said, one of the dealers in Mumbai quoted the motorcycle is priced at Rs 93,000 (on-road).</p>

<p>The Bajaj NS160 has already been on sale in export markets like Turkey and Nepal. The NS160 is powered by a 160cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that develops 15.3bhp at 8,000rpm along with 14.6Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.</p>

<p>As for the other stuff, the NS160 is based around the bigger NS200, meaning it gets the same steel perimeter frame, headlight, instrument cluster, fuel tank, split seats, and tail light from the bigger brother. It also retains the front fork setup and rear mono-shock from the NS200. However, to differentiate it from NS200, the NS160 comes with thinner tyres while it also gets smaller brake disc at the front (240mm). The rear wheel comes with a 130mm drum type brake setup. While dimensions are going to be more or less the same as the NS200, the NS160 will be around 10 kilos lighter than its elder sibling.</p>
