<p>Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has introduced several&nbsp;updates&nbsp;for the&nbsp;Perak and 42 Bobber in India. The 2024 Perak&nbsp;has been revamped&nbsp;with an emphasis on both appearance and performance, and it now carries a price tag of Rs 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom). Its striking new dual-tone matte black and matte grey colour scheme is among the&nbsp;most notable updates. To set it apart from its predecessors, the fuel tank has a new insignia with the word 'Perak.'&nbsp;In a bid to enhance long-distance riding comfort, Jawa has introduced a quilted tan seat, perfectly complementing the bike's classic design. Additionally, the footpegs have been shifted forward by 155mm, augmenting rider ergonomics and overall comfort.</p>

<h2>2024 Jawa Perak: Mechanical Updates</h2>

<p>In terms of mechanical upgrades, the 2024 Jawa Perak boasts significant improvements aimed at enhancing performance and ride quality. One notable enhancement is micro geometry adjustments to the gear tooth, resulting in superior meshing quality and reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. Moreover, the revised gearbox covers are designed to deliver a more refined sound output from the gearbox.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/2024-jawa-perak-42-bobber-launched-in-india-check-whats-new-116748/">2024 Jawa Perak</a> also features a redesigned crankshaft and an Assist &amp; Slipper (A&amp;S) clutch, ensuring seamless shifting and smooth transitions. Additionally, riders can expect increased versatility, thanks to improved throttle mapping and gear ratios, catering to various riding scenarios, from spirited highway cruising to urban commuting.</p>

<p>Further updates include a revamped piston skirt profile, the incorporation of a cast iron liner in the cylinder block, sportier suspension for enhanced handling, a robust chassis, class-leading braking capabilities, and a larger throttle body diameter of 38mm. Additionally, the inclusion of a patented breather canopy serves to reduce oil consumption and emissions, contributing to a more environmentally friendly riding experience.</p>

<p>The 334cc liquid-cooled engine of the 2024 Jawa Perak churns out&nbsp;29.50bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 30Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.&nbsp; The motor is mated to&nbsp;a six-speed gearbox via a slip-and-assist clutch. However, it is tuned differently for each model.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thanks to the modern features of the bike, such as the big ByBre disc brakes with dual-channel ABS by Continental, the bike offers the finest acceleration and braking experience in its class. 2024 Jawa Perak Unveiled in India: Here's What Has Changed

The formidable 334cc liquid-cooled engine of the 2024 Jawa Perak churns out 29.50bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 30Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.

<p><strong><em>After a year's wait, the Jawa Perak has finally been launched in India at&nbsp;₹ 1.95&nbsp;lakh;&nbsp;comes with a BS-VI compliant 334cc motor.</em></strong>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jawa, under the new management of Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. (CLPL), had officially launched the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/jawa-and-jawa-forty-two-launched-prices-start-at-rs-155-lakh-104917/">Jawa &amp; Jawa Forty Two models</a> on 15th November 2018. The third model, called the Jawa Perak, had been revealed on the same date but its launch was reserved for a later date. Today though, on its first anniversary, Jawa Motorcycles has officially&nbsp;launched the Jawa Perak here, priced at&nbsp;₹ 1.95&nbsp;lakh (ex-showroom, New&nbsp;Delhi). The price is slightly higher than the figure&nbsp;announced in November 2018 (₹ 1.89&nbsp;lakh).</p>

<p>Unlike the Jawa &amp; Jawa Forty Two (that are modern classics), the Perak is a true-blue bobber and features a chopper-style&nbsp;single-seat configuration. It is powered by a larger, BS-VI compliant 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor (based on the original 293cc engine) that puts out 30bhp &amp; 31Nm of torque. The Perak, like its siblings, is also driven by a 6-speed manual gearbox (with slightly altered gear ratios).&nbsp;Other changes come in the&nbsp;form of a redesigned swingarm, a tweaked chassis (courtesy of modified frame stiffness) and&nbsp;signature Jawa twin exhausts that have been 'chopped' for the Bobber styling. The Perak also comes with dual-channel ABS, as opposed to a&nbsp;single-channel unit on the Jawa &amp; Jawa Forty Two.</p>

<p>The Jawa Perak is expected to reach dealerships across the country by mid-December 2019 and online bookings will open from 1st January 2020. The first round of customer deliveries is&nbsp;expected to begin in&nbsp;April 2020.</p>

<p>In other news, Jawa Motorcycles&nbsp;recently celebrated its 90th anniversary and to commemorate the occasion, Classic Legends launched a special 90th Anniversary Edition motorcycle, inspired by the Jawa 500 OHV.&nbsp;The Jawa 90th Anniversary Special Edition model will see a production run of only 90 units.</p>
