The Triumph Trident 660 features an all-new compact design. The bike has a large rounded tank, complimented with visible tank shrouds and made comfortable with appropriate knee dips. The bike follows a Modern Retro theme, as is visible from its round headlight style. However, towards the rear end, the bike begins to feature modern, sleek and muscular lines. The tail end is minimalistic, giving the Trident a striking raised subframe. The bike looks significantly compact but is larger than it looks. Engine & Transmission
Powering the Triumph Trident 660 is a new BS6-compliant 660cc liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine derived from the brand's flagship, the Triumph Street Triple. It generates 81PS of power at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. The powerhouse engine is supported by a six-speed transmission. The bike also gets an optional quickshifter.
Handling
The Triumph Trident 660 gets a 41mm Showa inverted separate function fork and a rear mono-shock, both with preload adjustability. Braking duties are through twin 310mm front discs with sliding callipers on the front and a 255mm disc with a single-piston calliper on the rear. The bike gets 17-inch cast aluminium wheels with tubeless Michelin Road 5 tyres. For safety, the Triumph Trident gets ABS and switchable traction control.
Features
For an entry-level middleweight motorcycle, the Triumph Trident 660 comes quite loaded. As standard, the bike gets a complete LED treatment.
