<p><em><strong>Triumph has rolled out the 2022 Trident 660 in India. For the new model year, the motorcycle retains everything but comes with new paint options.</strong></em></p>

<p>A month after rolling out&nbsp;the updated 2022 Trident 660 in international markets, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/triumph/">Triumph </a>has&nbsp;launched the motorcycle here in India. The updated motorcycle will be available in a&nbsp;new Matt Orange and Matte Storm Grey paint scheme. Apart from that, the motorcycle remains pretty much the same.</p>

<p>The new paint option will be sold alongside the previous colour options of Silver Ice/Diablo Red, Matt Jet Black, and Sapphire Black. The new Trident continues with the same 600cc inline-three engine that outputs 79.8bhp and 64Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox, which also comes with a standard slip and assists clutch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At its launch, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/triumph/trident-660/">Trident </a>became the new entry point into Triumph’s line-up. The motorcycle comes with two riding modes, a Bluetooth instrument cluster, and full-LED lighting. In the domestic market, the Trident 660 takes on popular offerings like the Kawasaki Z650 and Honda CB650R. The Trident 660 is among the slew of updated models that the company has launched in India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In another major development,&nbsp;Triumph&nbsp;has finished testing the TE-1 electric motorcycle, which is expected to be revealed later this year in production form. The motorcycle is being developed in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering, Integral Powertrain Limited, and Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick.</p>

2022 Triumph Trident 660 launched in India with new paint options at Rs 7.58 lakh

The updated Triumph Trident 660 ha arrived in India at Rs 7.58 lakh with new paint options. Apart from the new colours, the motorcycle retains its core elements including powertrain, cycle parts features and others.

<p><strong><i>Triumph’s entry-level offering has undergone its first price hike, but continues to be positioned in between its rivals.</i></strong></p>

<p>Triumph Motorcycles India has revised the price of its entry-level offering, the Trident 660, making it Rs. 50,000 more expensive than before. The revised price of the bike is Rs. 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom).</p>

<p>Launched in April last year, the Trident 660 is powered by a 660cc inline 3-cylinder engine that makes 80bhp at a screaming 10,250rpms, and 64Nm at just 6250rpms. A six-speed transmission with slip and assist clutch sends drive to the rear wheel. You can also spec it with a quick-shifter, but that is an optional extra</p>

<p>Despite being an entry-level offering from Triumph, the Trident 660 gets features like ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, riding modes (road and rain), Showa upside-down forks and a preload adjustable rear suspension, Nissan brake calipers, and LED lights all around. You also get a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.</p>

<p>The Trident 660 has a 16,000km/1 year service interval, and Triumph offers it with a 2 years/unlimited kilometres warranty. There are four colour options – Crystal White (single tone), Sapphire Black (single tone), Matt Jet Black and Silver Ice (dual tone) and Silver Ice Diablo Red (dual tone).</p>

<p>When it comes to rivals, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/triumph/trident-660/">Trident 660</a> has two major ones. The first one is the Kawasaki <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/kawasaki/z650/">Z650</a>, which is priced at Rs. 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, there is the Honda <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/honda/cb650r/">CB650R</a>, which goes for a whooping Rs. 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The Triumph Trident 660 then is positioned in between the two.</p>


Triumph Trident 660 is now pricier by Rs 50,000

Triumph India launched the Trident 660 in India last year, at an introductory price of Rs. 6.95 lakh. It has now revised that price, and hiked it by Rs. 50,000. The triumph roadster rivals the Kawasaki Z650 and Honda CB650R.
