<p>Though the TVS Raider 125 Drum looks the same as other models in the lineup, it gets a&nbsp;130mm drum brake and a combined braking system (CBS). <p>The updated&nbsp;2022 <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/tvs/raider-125/">TVS Raider 125</a>, priced at ₹99,990 (ex-showroom), has been launched in India by TVS Motor Company. A feature that is usually reserved for high-end motorcycles is&nbsp;available on the TVS Raider 125. The motorcycle now features TVS's 'SmartXonnect' technology&nbsp;and&nbsp;is India's first commuter motorcycle with a TFT screen.&nbsp;Interestingly, the Raider 125 was launched in the Metaverse, possibly the first model to do so.</p>

<p>The Raider 125 SmartXonnect retains its 124.8cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 11.2bhp at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The motorcycle has two riding modes-&nbsp;Eco and Power, with the latter offering 10% more power at the top end. <p>On the other hand, the TVS Raider 125&nbsp;SmartXonnect now includes a 5-inch TFT console that connects the rider to the motorcycle via a dedicated mobile app. The new Bluetooth-enabled system provides a variety of riding analytics to assist riders in better understanding their riding style. The motorcycle also incorporates&nbsp;image transfer options, voice and navigation assistance, ride reports, and an incoming call feature. As a safety measure, the motorcycle&nbsp;has a side-stand cut-off switch. The new TVS Raider 125 model is available&nbsp;in two colour options – Wicked Black and Fiery Yellow.</p>

TVS Raider 125 SmartXonnect launched with TFT Screen

The Raider 125 SmartXonnect has been officially launched by TVS. The Raider 125, including the latest model, is now available in three variants: Drum, Disc, and SmartXonnect. The motorcycle is currently priced at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom).

<p><strong>The base variant&nbsp;of the TVS Raider 125, with a drum brake, is priced at ₹77,500, while the disc brake variant carries a price tag of ₹85,469. The price of the top-spec variant, which comes with connectivity features, is yet to be announced.&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>The discontinuation of the Phoenix 125 back in 2017 also ended TVS' presence in the 125cc motorcycle space. But now, the brand is making a comeback into the 125cc segment by introducing the all-new Raider 125. The TVS Raider starts at ₹77,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).</p>

<p>The Raider 125 is an all-new product powered by a 125cc motor, which produces 11.2bhp and 11.2Nm of torque. This engine comes paired with a 5-speed transmission. The Hosur-based brand has fitted it with a silent start function and an idle start/stop feature. With that in mind, TVS claims that the Raider will return a fuel efficiency of 67km/l. Other highlights of the Raider include a 30mm telescopic fork&nbsp;at the front and a five-step adjustable rear monoshock. The Raider 125 will go on sale in three variants – Drum, Disc (₹85,469), and the top-spec version with the TVS SmartXonnect app feature (its price is yet to be revealed).</p>

<p>Just like in the Ntorq, this 125cc bike has set new benchmarks in terms of features. It has been fitted with a fully digital&nbsp;5.0-inch TFT colour display with auto-brightness adjustment, which allows you to connect the motorcycle to&nbsp;your phone using the TVS SmartXConnect App. It also has features like voice assist, call answering, navigation, and message notification alert. Additionally, the instrument cluster also displays two trip meters, a tachometer, a speedometer, a gear position indicator, average fuel economy, and more.</p>

<p>The Raider sports a muscular design especially with its well-chiselled fuel tank and tank extensions. It also gets an LED headlamp with C-shaped 'animalistic' DRLs. TVS has given the Raider a sporty touch by fitting it with a split seat. Though it is a rather small 125cc motorcycle, it doesn’t feel like that from the saddle. In terms of dimensions, it offers&nbsp;a 1,326mm wheelbase, a comfortable 780mm seat height, and 180mm of ground clearance.</p>

<p>The TVS Raider will compete with the likes of the Honda SP 125 and the recently launched Hero Glamour Xtec.</p>
