TVS Raider 125 Exterior Details

The TVS Raider 125's exterior includes updated and modernized design inputs. The aggressive lines and muscular features of the bike give it a significant road presence for a 125cc. The new front-end headlight, plus the bike's quirky colour schemes, look fresh. Features such as angled tank shrouds and a belly pan add to the sporty appeal of this 125. The TVS Raider 125's dimensions are 2070mm length, 785mm width and 1028mm height.

TVS Raider 125 Engine & Transmission

Drive train and power duties in the TVS Raider 125 are performed by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 11.2bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The TVS NTorq scooter shares this engine with the TVS Raider. However, internally, the engine is quite different, as claimed by TVS, resulting in the engine providing 2bhp more than the engine in the scooter. The engine puts power down thanks to a 5-speed manual transmission. The bike features a 10-litre tank with a whopping claimed mileage of 60kmpl.

TVS Raider 125 Handling

The new TVS Raider 125 features a new chassis with a monoshock suspension on the rear and a 30mm telescopic fork front. The Raider handles well, thanks to its lightweight, at 123kgs. The rear monoshock also gets a 5-step adjustable preload. Braking duties in the TVS Raider 125 are by a 240mm front disc on the front and a 130mm drum on the rear. However, this is only available in the disc variant, as the base variant gets only drums. Safety duties in the TVS Raider 125 are handled by a combined braking system.  

TVS Raider 125 Features

As a class first, the TVS Raider gets quite a few features for a small commuter. First of all, the bike gets a complete LED treatment with a quirky new DRL setup in the headlight. The bike also gets under-seat storage and an optional USB port. The display unit is a negative-LCD that shows an assortment of information such as gear position, trip metres, fuel economy, to name a few. The bike also features a side-stand engine cut off feature. TVS claims that a new top-variant TVS Raider 125 will feature a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
