Vespa SXL 150 Exterior Details

Based on Piaggio's design language and sensibilities, the Vespa SXL150 gets a quintessential retro Italian scooter silhouette. The scooter gets a sleek European design, coloured body panels and bits of chrome throughout. For its latest variant, the Vespa replaces the halogen headlight for an LED unite, complete with a DRL. The scooter gets under-seat storage lighting as well, with a fair storage space that can fit up to a half-face helmet.

Vespa SXL 150 Engine & Transmission

Powering the Vespa SXL 150 is a 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine in its latest avatar has gone down on cubic capacity as well as power delivery slightly, possibly due to the latest emission norms. That being said, the engine comes BS6 emissions compatible. The power mill of the Vespa SXL 150 puts down 10.46PS at 7600rpm and 10.60Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm.

Vespa SXL 150 Handling

For handling duties, the Vespa SXL 150 gets a single-sided suspension on the front end that comes with Anti-Dive. And the rear end is held up with a Dual Effect mono-shock suspension. The SXL 150 rolls on an 11-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel setup. Stopping power is supplied by a 200mm front disc brake, supported by a 140mm rear drum brake. The scooter gets single-channel ABS as standard.  

Vespa SXL 150 Features

Although the Vespa SXL 150 retains its minimalistic, retro-style sensibilities, it does get a few minor features. The scooter now gets an LED treatment for the headlight, replacing the halogen, complete with a DRL as well. For display duties, it gets a semi-digital console that shows a trip meter, odometer, clock and fuel gauge. Other features include an under-seat storage light and a USB charger point that are new features with the latest variant of the Vespa SXL 150.

Vespa SXL 150 Price & Variants 

The Vespa SXL 150 is priced in India starting at ₹1.28 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The scooter gets a standard variant and a special edition variant. The Vespa SXL 150 Racing Sixties edition is priced at ₹1.38 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The special edition gets a single colour scheme - White Innocenza. The standard variant gets six colour schemes - Orange, Matte Red, Matte Black, White, Matte Yellow and Blue.
