Some models use titanium cases, carbon-fibre elements, silicone straps, and stitching patterns that mirror Aston Martin cabins. Several dials take shape from alloy wheel rims, adding a link to the brand’s road and track presence.</p><p>The range covers quartz, automatic, and mechanical automatic movements. The entry point is the Aston Martin Silver Square Dial analogue watch at Rs 17,995, built around a 40mm recycled stainless-steel case with a dual-tone silicone strap. The top model is the TRG Automatic at Rs 57,995, a tonneau-shaped mechanical automatic piece placed as the flagship in the Indian range.</p><p>The TRG Automatic uses a skeleton dial based on DBS GT Zagato wheel rims, a titanium tonneau case with carbon-fibre sides, and sapphire-coated glass. <p>The real appeal of the DBX is the way it makes you feel, right from the way it makes you go a bit weak in the knees as you approach it – after all, those Aston Martin design cues have been executed to perfection in their SUV avatar – then there’s the cabin, which is appointed in hand-stitched leather from top to bottom, and, of course, the icing on the cake is how the DBX goes down the road. This is truly an Aston Martin that you can use on our roads. The ride on the road is quite compliant, making it a usable everyday machine – if you can pull off that James Bond look on a daily basis that is.</p>

<p>On the track, it feels like a proper sports car – not like a lumbering SUV. They’ve really done an amazing job with this chassis and the steering. It dives into corners, rotates around its axis and powers out like a machine that feels half its size. I guess I’ll just have to drive the DBX again to try it – I better work on that Sean Connery accent in the meantime…
