<p>The real appeal of the DBX is the way it makes you feel, right from the way it makes you go a bit weak in the knees as you approach it – after all, those Aston Martin design cues have been executed to perfection in their SUV avatar – then there’s the cabin, which is appointed in hand-stitched leather from top to bottom, and, of course, the icing on the cake is how the DBX goes down the road. This is truly an Aston Martin that you can use on our roads. The ride on the road is quite compliant, making it a usable everyday machine – if you can pull off that James Bond look on a daily basis that is.</p>

<p>On the track, it feels like a proper sports car – not like a lumbering SUV. They’ve really done an amazing job with this chassis and the steering. It dives into corners, rotates around its axis and powers out like a machine that feels half its size. I guess I’ll just have to drive the DBX again to try it – I better work on that Sean Connery accent in the meantime…
