<p>The third-generation BMW X1 has launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 45.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It lacks an all-wheel drive system but comes equipped with petrol and diesel engines, similar to the previous model. The petrol version's introductory pricing is Rs 45.90 lakh, and the diesel model's price is Rs 47.90 lakh (All prices, ex-showroom).&nbsp;It's an SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), according to the company, and now features a slightly wider grille, more angular creases in the bumper, brushed silver accents, and sleeker headlamps with new inverted L-shaped Daytime Running Lamps. The SUV has a&nbsp;sleek surface, and flush door handles in profile.&nbsp;The new version rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels.&nbsp;Slim wraparound LED taillights and a sculpted rear bumper with the same silver accents as the front are present at the rear.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Inside, the brand-new X1 has a revamped dashboard design.&nbsp;The new curved infotainment display is the first for the X1. The cabin is more premier than the previous model, and the thin AC vents are now well integrated into the dash. BMW claims that the new X1 provides extra room for passengers in the back seats and has a 476-litre of boot space.&nbsp;Features-wise,&nbsp;a floating instrument console, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.70-inch infotainment screen with a 12-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, etc., are all available in the new X1.&nbsp;</p>

The petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 136bhp and 230Nm peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine offers a power output of 150bhp and a maximum torque output of 360Nm. The petrol engine comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the diesel unit comes paired with a 7-speed torque converter automatic transmission.&nbsp;BMW claims that the diesel variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, and the petrol version can do the same in 9.2 seconds.&nbsp;</p>
