Ferrari GTC4 Lusso Highlights
Unlike other supercars in the brand’s portfolio, the GTC4 is a rather special vehicle, for it is a practical machine that bears the prancing horse moniker. You see, the GTC4 Lusso is, essentially, a station wagon.
As for its name, GTC4 breaks down to a 4-seater grand-tourer, whereas the ‘Lusso’ suffix translates to luxury from Italian. The only thing that remains to be seen, then, if the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso price is worth for the extra practicality. Read on.
Where the previous iterations of the GTC4 Lusso were heavily criticized for their rather appalling design, the Ferrari GTC4 new model looks like a proper Italian supercar, albeit with added practicality. Despite being a shooting brake, it looks very modern, sharp, and it has the design ethos that we’ve previously seen with other Ferraris.
The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso variants are as follows: V8 T and V12. As for the equipment, it can be said the GTC4 Lusso is similarly equipped as the Portofino. Therefore, the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso on-road price gets you a 10.25-inch infotainment screen in the centre, which comes with Apple Carplay, but sadly misses out on Android Auto, a multifunction steering wheel, and a bevvy of electronics to make sure all the power doesn’t kill you.
As hinted above, the interior of the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso scores well on the practicality aspect, especially in comparison to other supercars in the brand’s portfolio. Space at the front is good for two full-size adults, although the space at the rear is still recommended for small children.
The overall layout of the dashboard is similar to the Portofino. Therefore, you sit facing a three-spoke steering wheel that houses almost every function inside the car. Moreover, the next thing that comes into the vision is a large analogue tachometer, which is then flanked by two digital displays.
Engine Specifications & Performance
The GTC4 Lusso comes powered with two engines. The base-spec variant, as the name suggests, comes powered with a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, which is good for 601bhp and 760Nm of torque. The higher-spec V12 variant comes powered with a 6,262cc naturally-aspirated V12 petrol engine, which is capable of producing 680bhp and 697Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
