I've owned an SUV for a long time, so I was pleasantly surprised when I upgraded to the Seltos Diesel AT last year. Highway cruising is a breeze thanks to the diesel engine's amazing torque. The car feels incredibly sturdy at high speeds, and I frequently drive between Delhi and Jaipur. Although the touchscreen occasionally lags a little, the interior of the car feels opulent with high-end materials and plenty of technology. For a car of this size, my highway fuel efficiency of 17–18 km/l is impressive.

Honestly, the Kia Seltos HTX+ Diesel MT looks like a much more expensive car, which is the main reason I chose it. Many people notice the orange dual-tone colour I selected! The clutch is light for a diesel, which makes it suitable for city driving. In Chennai's heat, the ventilated seats and panoramic sunroof are fantastic. I get about 18 to 19 km/l on highways and about 14 in the city, which is a respectable mileage.

After six months of driving the Seltos GTX+ Diesel AT, I have to say that Kia has really nailed it. The interior of the car feels appropriately premium, almost like an entry-level luxury vehicle, and it has an aggressive, modern appearance. The smooth automatic transmission makes driving in Mumbai traffic surprisingly easy. The car feels incredibly stable on the highway when I travel to Lonavala on the weekends. I wish it had a little more weight at higher speeds but I am happy with the light steering that’s excellent for city driving.

    </p><p>It’s slightly disappointing that the under-thigh support in the second row hasn’t seen any improvement. As for the third row, it’s reasonably comfortable for short trips but is more suitable for children than adults due to limited under-thigh support and legroom. That said, Kia has thoughtfully equipped the third row with AC vents, reading lights, two USB-C ports, and cupholders, adding to the overall practicality.</p>

<h2>Kia Carens Clavis Driving Experience: Comfort-Focussed and Easygoing</h2>

<p>The drivetrain options for the Clavis are the same as the Carens – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Power and torque figures are also the same, but the Clavis now gets a 6-speed manual transmission option with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol variant.</p><p>

Ground clearance is also generous – I didn’t encounter any issues, even when tackling tall speed breakers, during the test.</p><p>A key upgrade over the Carens is the inclusion of 20 Level 2 ADAS features, enhancing overall safety.</p><p>

<p>The Carens Clavis is undoubtedly a step up from the standard Carens. It offers a more modern design and additional features while retaining the plush ride quality and versatile powertrain options that made the original appealing.</p><p>

The new Kia Carens Clavis is here with fresh styling and more features, but does it offer enough to stand out as a better choice for Indian families?

<p>Kia has kicked off December with a small glimpse of the next-generation Seltos, set to debut next week. While the teaser video keeps most details under wraps, it offers a hint of a new design language for the midsize SUV, in line with Kia’s global styling standards. The SUV seems to have a wide, chrome-accented ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, with the signature <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/kia/">Kia</a> badge positioned prominently above it. The DRLs are sleek and vertically positioned, while the headlights are cleverly integrated at the&nbsp;grille’s edges, featuring striking C-shaped and horizontal LED patterns. </p><p>Other highlights include LED welcome animations&nbsp;for both the DRLs and headlights, and a panoramic sunroof.
