<p>Maruti Suzuki is poised to make a significant entry into the electric vehicle market with the launch of the e Vitara in India, set for September 2025. In a recent press conference, R.C. Bhargava, Chairman of Maruti Suzuki, confirmed that deliveries of the e-Vitara will commence in the same month. This marks the company’s first all-electric SUV, following its unveiling at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Built on the new Heartect-e platform, the e Vitara will offer two battery options – 49kWh and 61kWh – delivering a range of over 500 km on a full charge. Production will begin at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant, with an estimated 70,000 units planned for the fiscal year, most of which will be exported. The front end is highlighted by sleek LED headlights with three-piece DRLs, a blacked-out bumper, fog lamps, and silver skid plates, contributing to its bold, rugged appearance. The side view is accentuated by alloy wheels, body cladding, and rear door handles seamlessly integrated into the C-pillar.
