Maruti Suzuki’s safety enhancement for the Fronx has led to a moderate price hike of approximately 0.5 per cent across all variants.
After setting a record as the first model to reach one lakh sales within 10 months, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx sold an additional one lakh units in just 7.3 months.
With this, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx surpasses the Grand Vitara by five months, to emerge as the fastest Nexa SUV to reach the 2 lakh sales milestone.
Maruti Suzuki plans to bring the Fronx facelift to the Indian market by 2025. Upon its launch here, the SUV will be the fourth vehicle in the segment to feature ADAS.
Bookings for the Suzuki Fronx in Japan commenced earlier this month, and over 700 have already been made. The official launch date for the SUV is October 16, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second half of that month.
Maruti Suzuki has begun exporting the India-made Fronx to Japan. Following the Baleno in 2016, this is the company's second model exported to Japan.
In India, the Taisor is priced between Rs Rs 7.74 lakh and Rs 13.04 lakh (both, ex-showroom). It competes with the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Kia Sonet, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Velocity Edition can be had at a starting price of Rs 7.29 lakh for the entry-level Sigma variant. The price is ex-showroom and is valid for a limited period.
With 14,286 units sold, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx was the best-selling Nexa model in April 2024, even outperforming the Baleno (14,049 units).
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx's new Mid-spec Delta+ (O) Variant costs Rs 15,000 more than the Delta + variant. It has received extra safety features.
