Maruti Suzuki Fronx Mid-spec Delta+ (O) Variant Launched in India, Prices start at Rs 8.93 Lakh

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx's new Mid-spec Delta+ (O) Variant costs Rs 15,000 more than the Delta + variant. It has received extra safety features.

Maruti Suzuki has launched a new mid-spec Delta+ (O) variant of the Fronx in India. The new version, based on the Delta+, has a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, mated to either an automatic or manual gearbox. Its MT version is priced at Rs 8.93 lakh, while the AMT model costs Rs 9.43 lakh. Both models cost Rs 15,000 more than their Delta+ counterparts. Additionally, they get extra safety equipment such as six airbags and a tyre repair kit. After the new variant, the Fronx is now available in six trim levels: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Delta+ (O), Zeta, and Alpha. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta (O): Features 

Except for a tyre repair kit and six airbags, the new mid-spec variant has the same features as its standard counterpart, including audio controls mounted on the steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, keyless entry, automatic climate control, a 4-speaker sound system, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta (O): Powertrain

The Delta+ (O) model comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 88.7bhp and 113Nm. This unit can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. In addition, the Fronx has a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 98.6bhp and 148Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Price and Competitors 

The price of the Fronx ranges from Rs 7.51 lakh to Rs 12.88 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The Maruti Suzuki model competes with the Kia Sonet, the Hyundai Venue, the Tata Nexon, the Toyota Taisor, the Nissan Magnite, the Mahindra XUV 3XO, and the Renault Kiger.

Maruti Suzuki offers sedans, hatchbacks, MUVs, and SUVs in India via its Nexa and Arena dealerships. It was the best-selling auto brand in April, with 1.38 lakh units sold. The automaker recently launched a redesigned version of its best-selling hatchback, the Swift, with a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh.
