<p>At the heart, the S-Presso continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder motor but in the CNG trim it makes 58bhp and 78Nm. In comparison, the petrol-powered S-Presso is good for 67bhp and 90Nm. While the S-Presso petrol has been rated for an ARAI claimed efficiency of 21.7kmpl, in CNG mode, it claims to deliver 31.2km/kg.</p>

<p>Maruti Suzuki first showcased the S-Presso S-CNG at the Auto Expo in February this year. The company has six CNG models on sale – Alto, Wagon R, Eeco, Ertiga, Celerio and now the S-Presso. Here’s a look at the variant-wise pricing of the S-Presso S-CNG.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/maruti-suzuki-s-presso-launched-at-rs-369-lakh-106626/">Maruti Suzuki S-Presso was launched in India on 30th September 2019</a>,&nbsp;with the aim of giving the Manesar-based carmaker a stronghold at the lower end of the Indian automotive spectrum. Going by the S-Presso's sales figures for September &amp; October 2019, the aim seems to be pretty much achievable. With a recorded sale of 10,634 units in October alone, the S-Presso became an overall top-10 bestseller for the month, sitting in 8th place, just below the Kia Seltos. In fact, 8&nbsp;of the top-10 bestsellers for October 2019 happen to be Maruti Suzuki models.</p>

<p>Sharing his thoughts on the&nbsp;S-Presso’s success, Mr Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing &amp; Sales) at&nbsp;Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, 'Today, Indian buyers have a clear inclination towards feature-loaded, safe, comfortable and easy-to-own entry-level cars...S-Presso stands apart to offer unique experiences to its distinct customers in the segment. <p>The S-Presso is powered by the&nbsp;same 1.0-litre K10 petrol motor&nbsp;as the Alto. In the S-Presso, the BS-VI compliant engine develops 67bhp &amp; 90Nm of torque, mated to either&nbsp;a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso enters the bestseller club

<p>Come September 30, 2019, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/maruti-suzuki/">Maruti Suzuki</a> will be launching an all-new car in the Indian market. Billed as the S-Presso, the latest product from the country’s largest carmaker will an entry-level crossover that will compete against the likes of the <a href="https://www.autox.com/reviews/car-reviews/2015-renault-kwid-first-drive-review/">Renault Kwid</a> and Datsun Redigo.</p>

<p>The S-Presso is expected to take design inspiration from the Future S concept that was showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. This, of course, means that it’ll have a butch and SUV-ish stance. Among other exterior highlights, the S-Presso will have a boxy and upright profile along with squared-off wheel arches. Since it’s an entry-level product, Maruti is likely to equip it with steel wheels, and alloy wheels won’t be offered even in top-end trims.</p>

<p>The S-Presso will be underpinned by Maruti’s Heartect platform, which also forms the base for the likes of the WagonR, Swift, Ignis, Baleno, et al. There will only be a single powertrain choice here though – a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol. The engine is expected to churn out around 70bhp, and it’s expected to be BS-VI compliant. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.</p>

<p>Features and equipment wise, expect the top-end variants are expected to&nbsp;come with the same SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system that’s offered with the new Wagon R. Safety net should include dual-airbags and ABS.</p>

<p>The S-Presso is expected to be priced between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) upon its launch in India.</p>

Maruti-Suzuki S-Presso is a mini SUV-style hatchback that gives high mileage on
petrol as well as CNG. It features a dynamic centre console with SmartPlay
studio, steering mounted audio and voice controls, and an electronic stability
program. The S-Presso goes against the Renault Kwid and the Tata Punch in its
segment.</p>
