<p>Alongside the entry-level&nbsp;electric compact crossover – the 2024 EQA,&nbsp;Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the facelifted version of the EQB for the international market. The EQB electric is positioned in the B-class of Mercedes-Benz cars and is an all-electric variant of the GLB. Overseas, the 2024 version of the EQB sports&nbsp;minor changes to the exterior &amp;&nbsp;interior&nbsp;and gets upgraded technology as well as several new features. <h2>2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB: Exterior</h2>

<p>Exterior-wise, the 2024 version now dons a new black panel, redesigned LED lights at the rear, a light bar connecting DRLs, and a newly designed bumper. Apart from this, the EQB remains more or less the same. But, as part of customisation, customers can configure their vehicle specifications, as they get to choose from new colour schemes and alloy wheel options.&nbsp;</p>

The car's active lane keep assist is said to work with steering intervention instead of ESP.&nbsp;The driver can also alter the layout of the displays with 3 display styles&nbsp;(Subtle, Sporty, and Classic) and three modes (Navigation, Assistance, and Service). The voice control function offered with the MBUX has also been improved.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Moreover, the EQB has a plug-and-charge function, enabling drivers to charge up the battery&nbsp;by just plugging in the charging cable. For this, customers do not need to authenticate themselves or feed in details on the charger screen. A separate charging contract with a selected third-party provider is required through which the payment and invoicing of the charging processes can take place.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB: Optional Bits</h2>

<p>Optional bits of the vehicle include two Sound Experiences, which are computer-generated sounds that work in conjunction with the Burmester surround sound system. Also, two additional&nbsp;Sound Experiences can be bought and activated online via the Mercedes me store. There is also a Dolby Atmos surround sound system, claiming to allow listeners to hear music almost as clearly as the original vision of the artists in the studio. Besides, this&nbsp;model also&nbsp;comes in a seven-seater layout&nbsp;as an option, measuring&nbsp;4,684mm in length, 1,834mm in width, and 1,664mm in height.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mercedes-Benz India has launched the EQB 350 4Matic electric SUV in India at a starting price of Rs. 77,50 lakhs (ex-showroom). In December 2022, the EQB debuted in the Indian market with the 300 4Matic model at a starting price of Rs. 74.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, however, it has been replaced with a whole new 350 4Matic model that is far more powerful. The updated EQB 350 is equipped with the same 66.5 kWh battery pack as its predecessor, the EBQ 300. However, the electric SUV now generates 288bhp instead of 225bhp, and its torque output has increased to 520Nm from 390Nm. The updated Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 is almost indistinguishable from the model it replaces in its outward appearance. Then again, there have been a few small changes made.</p>

<h2>Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 4Matic: Design</h2>

<p>Compared to its predecessor, the Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 has not undergone any major cosmetic changes. Nevertheless, Mercedes-Benz India has introduced a new set of 18-inch light-alloy wheels, which the company claims have been tuned for aerodynamic performance. Therefore, you will continue to get the same fake black panel grille, which is complemented by LED headlights that include adaptive high-beam assist. Other details includes LED tail lights that are accompanied by an LED strip, roof rails and backlit turn indicators.</p>

<h2>Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 4Matic: Powertrain</h2>

<p>A pair of electric motors, fed by a 66.5kWh battery pack, drive the electric SUV. Together, they provide 288bhp and 520Nm of peak torque. The 350 4Matic version of the EQB is also capable of reaching a top speed of 160km/h and can reach 100km/h in 6.2 seconds. The battery pack can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent using a 100kW DC charger in about 32 minutes. However, charging the battery pack with the 11kW wall box charger would take 6.25 hours. Although the EQB's power output has risen, its claimed driving range remains the same at 423km (WLTP).</p>

In terms of appearance, the Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 is essentially indistinguishable from the previous generation. Mercedes-Benz India, however, added a new set of 18-inch light-alloy wheels that it says are designed for aerodynamics.

<p>The long-awaited&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mercedes-benz/">Mercedes-Benz</a> EQB EV has been launched at a price of ₹74.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It has entered the Indian market alongside&nbsp;the GLB's diesel and petrol versions. The car will expand the German automaker's EV line-up and be the first 7-seater EV in the country.&nbsp;The electric model&nbsp;will run on the road alongside its electric siblings namely, the EQC, the EQS &amp; the EQS AMG.</p>

<p>The EQB's interior is the same as the GLB's as it includes similar screens, dashboards, vents, and chrome detailing. However, in an attempt to give it an electric-specific touch,&nbsp;a copper-tone finish has been given to the&nbsp;vents, the seat fabric, the key fob, and a few other places on the model.&nbsp;Additionally, LED lights on the dash above the glovebox make the electric SUV look slightly different. They illuminate&nbsp;and change colour with the ambient lighting, adding a bling dimension to the cabin. In addition to this, the all-electric has received paddles behind the steering wheel for adjusting levels of regeneration. The EQB EV will have powered front seats with a memory function, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, an electric tailgate, and more.&nbsp;For the exterior of its electric car too, the company has followed the GLB.&nbsp;The resemblance can be seen in the&nbsp;similar proportions, dimensions, and stand-up lines. However, the large faux grille up front clearly indicates that it is an EV.&nbsp;The EQB EV has 18-inch alloy wheels.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the mechanical front, the all-electric compact&nbsp;car is available in two models on a global level. The EQB 300 is offered with a power output of&nbsp;225bhp and 390Nm, and the EQB 350 is rendered with a power output of&nbsp;288bhp and 520Nm. However, our Indian market has received the&nbsp;EQB 300 from the company. The newly launched model has come with an&nbsp;all-wheel drive, which sends power to all four wheels through dual electric motors, one on each axle. Thus, the all-electric SUV can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 8 seconds and can obtain a top speed of 160km/h. The large 66.5kWh battery pack of the model boasts a WLTP range of 423 kilometres on a full charge.&nbsp;The company has claimed&nbsp;to offer an 8-year&nbsp;warranty for the EV's battery pack.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 11kW AC charger will charge the vehicle from&nbsp;10% to 100% in 6 hours and 25 minutes and on the other hand a&nbsp;100kW DC fast charger will charge from 10% to 80% in 32 minutes. On 50kW DC chargers in India, expect charging in&nbsp;an hour and a few minutes.</p>

<p>Mercedes-Benz guarantees the residual value of the EQB and GLB SUVs at 61% to 64%. The buyback will be available for vehicles used for less than three years and up to 20,000 kilometres.&nbsp;In early November, the company started taking bookings&nbsp;for the EV and its ICE counterpart, at a nominal amount of ₹1.5 lakh.</p>

Mercedes-Benz EQB EV launched at Rs 74.5 lakh

Mercedes-Benz has finally introduced its new electric SUV in the Indian market. The Mercedes-Benz EQB EV and GLB SUVs will be imported into India as Completely Built-up Units (CBUs).

<p><a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mercedes-benz/">Mercedes-Benz</a> India is all set to&nbsp;unveil its maiden seven-seater luxury EV, the EQB, and the GLB on December 2, 2022.&nbsp;The company has also started accepting bookings for&nbsp;both SUVs at an amount of ₹1.50 lakh through the Mercedes-Benz India website and dealerships.</p>

<p>Following&nbsp;the AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ and the EQS 580 4MATIC, this launch will be the&nbsp;German carmaker's&nbsp;third electric vehicle (EV) in 2022. The firm&nbsp;is also revelling in the fact that it is about to launch its luxury <a href="https://www.autox.com/electric-cars-in-india/">EV</a> alongside its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart for the first time. The GLB is based on the MFA 2 platform and measures 4,634mm in length, 1,834mm in width, and 1,658mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,829mm. Its EV counterpart, the EQB, is 4,748mm long and 1,667mm tall, with the same width and wheelbase as those of the ICE version.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The&nbsp;sporty&nbsp;AMG&nbsp;GLB&nbsp;35&nbsp;4Matic&nbsp;version&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;GLB&nbsp;is&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;many&nbsp;trim&nbsp;levels&nbsp;that&nbsp;are&nbsp;offered&nbsp;overseas.&nbsp;The GLB 200 petrol will have a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine, with 161bhp, and a seven-speed<a href="https://www.autox.com/automatic-cars-in-india/"> automatic transmission</a>, while the GLB 220d will have a 2.0-litre engine, with 187bhp and an eight-speed automatic transmission. While the versions' outputs differ, some of them will also have an all-wheel-drive system.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the EQB comes with either front- or all-wheel drive and is powered by a 66.5kWh battery pack.&nbsp;Both the EQB and GLB have similar underpinnings. It is available with either a 300 4Matic with 225bhp or a 350 4Matic with 288bhp dual-motor configuration. The all-wheel-drive EQB 300 and EQB 350 and the front-wheel-drive EQB 250 provide WLTP-certified ranges of up to 419km. The<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mercedes-benz/eqb/"> EQB</a> offers fast charging at 11kW AC and 100kW DC. The former can charge the battery from 0&nbsp;to 100% in six hours and thirty minutes, whereas the latter needs only 32 minutes to charge the battery from 10 to 80%.</p>

<p>Both the GLB and the EQB come equipped with a variety of features, including LED headlights and taillights,&nbsp;a 10.25-inch centre information hub,&nbsp;a 360-degree camera system,&nbsp;a 10.25-inch driver display, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging,&nbsp;and multi-zone climate control.&nbsp;In some western markets, both versions are offered with an option between five- and seven-seat configurations.</p>

<p>However, it is still unknown which of the aforementioned trim levels of the two&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/suv-cars-in-india/">SUVs</a> will come to India.</p>
