<p>The Curvv is based on Tata's&nbsp;new vehicle architecture,&nbsp;ATLAS (Adaptive Tech Forward Lifestyle Architecture), which supports multiple engine options. Under the hood, the Curvv gets three engine options – 1.2-litre&nbsp;direct injection turbocharged petrol (Hyperion),&nbsp;1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine&nbsp;(Revotron), and&nbsp;1.5-litre diesel (Kryotec). The SUV Coupe also gets a segment-first powered tailgate, while the flush door handles are a first for a Tata model. Tata Curvv India Launch on September 2, is Based on New ATLAS Platform

The ICE Curvv sits on Tata's new vehicle architecture called ATLAS (Adaptive Tech Forward Lifestyle Architecture), which debuted alongside the Curvv EV today. 

<p>Tata Motors has dropped the latest teaser&nbsp;confirming a new, 1.2-litre&nbsp;direct injection turbocharged petrol engine for its upcoming Curvv Coupe SUV. Named the Hyperion, the engine is a three-cylinder unit with an all-aluminium construction, making it lighter than a&nbsp;1.2-litre Revotron turbo-petrol engine. It has&nbsp;variable valve timing technology, a&nbsp;variable oil pump, and an integrated exhaust manifold in the cylinder head, along with&nbsp;a water-cooled variable geometry turbocharger for better low-end torque.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Compared to the&nbsp;Revotron turbo-petrol engine, the Hyperion can make&nbsp;123bhp at 5,000rpm and 225Nm of peak torque between 1,700rpm and 3,500rpm. That is 5bhp and 55Nm more than what&nbsp;the&nbsp;Revotron generates. Besides, the&nbsp;new engine is said to offer more refinement and improved fuel efficiency, both of which the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine does not fulfill. The latter will be offered on the lower-spec variants of the Coupe SUV.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Upon its debut in the Tata Curvv, the Hyperion will&nbsp;abide&nbsp;by the Bharat Stage 6 Phase-II emission norms, while being E20 fuel-ready. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DCT gearbox. Other than the Hyperion and Revotron engines, the Curvv will also come with a&nbsp;1.5-litre diesel engine option. <h2>Tata Curvv: India Launch Details</h2>

<p>Tata is set to launch the Curvv SUV in India on August 7, 2024. Based on the Nexon, the Curvv will be Tata's&nbsp;first mass-market Curvv Coupe SUV for India. <p>Price-wise, the ICE (internal combustion engine)&nbsp;Curvv could fall between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 11 lakh, whereas&nbsp;the EV may retail for Rs 20 lakh. <h2>Tata Curvv: Powertrain</h2>

<p>Although the official powertrain specs are currently unknown,&nbsp;industry reports indicate that Tata Motors will offer two engine options for the ICE-powered Curvv:&nbsp;a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre GDi turbocharged petrol. The former produces 113bhp and 260Nm, while the latter generates 123bhp and 225Nm.&nbsp;While the turbocharged petrol engine is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT,&nbsp;the diesel mill can be paired with either a six-speed MT or a six-speed AT.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ICE version of the Tata Curvv is expected to start at Rs 10.50 lakh,&nbsp;while the EV version may cost more than Rs 20 lakh. All are ex-showroom prices. Tata Curvv ICE Variant Spotted Testing Undisguised Ahead of India Launch

The ICE edition of the Tata Curvv has been spotted testing without any camouflage in India, featuring a Daytona Grey paint scheme.

<p>Tata Motors has unveiled the exterior of the production-spec Curvv, which comes&nbsp;in both ICE and EV variants. The prices of the EV will be announced first, on August 7, 2024, followed by the ICE variant sometime later. Design-wise, the Curvv SUV Coupe is strikingly similar to the Nexon from the front. Its electric edition has a charging flap in the front, similar to the Punch.ev, and&nbsp;many vertical design components on the lower bumper.&nbsp;In contrast, the ICE model has thinner horizontal components on the lower bumper and front. The Curvv EV variant has a closed-off, body-coloured grille, while the ICE model has an all-black one.</p>
