The recall affects models produced between December 2024&nbsp;and April 2025. The problem affects only the gasoline models, which feature an analogue fuel gauge in the instrument cluster. In some situations,&nbsp;the gauge may fail to show the correct fuel level, meaning the low fuel warning light might not turn on even when the tank is nearly empty.&nbsp;This could leave drivers unaware of the fuel shortage, increasing the risk of the engine shutting down or stalling while on the road. Notably, Maruti Suzuki recently issued a similar recall for the Grand Vitara, which shares the same technical platform as the Hyryder.</p><p>Toyota will proactively contact owners of the affected<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/toyota/urban-cruiser-hyryder/"> Urban Cruiser Hyryder</a> units through its dealer and service network to carry out inspections and replace faulty parts at no cost, as part of the voluntary recall.
