Toyota Kirloskar Motor has increased prices across the entire Toyota Fortuner lineup in India by amounts ranging from Rs 60,000 to Rs 87,000. These updated ex-showroom prices are now in effect, pushing the premium SUV's price bracket to between Rs 34.76 lakh and Rs 50.46 lakh. Despite these incremental price adjustments, the Fortuner remains a top contender in the full-size SUV segment, particularly appreciated for its rugged diesel powertrain, strong resale value, and commanding road presence.
The entry-level starting trims, including the 2.7-litre petrol automatic and the 2.8-litre diesel manual, have experienced a price bump of Rs 60,000, which also factors in adjustments for the Platinum White Pearl paint option. The 2.8-litre diesel 4x2 automatic variant now costs Rs 65,000 more than its previous retail price.

Under the hood, the technical specifications of the SUV remain unchanged. The petrol-powered Fortuner relies on a 2.7-litre unit generating 166bhp, mated exclusively to an automatic transmission. The highly sought-after 2.8-litre diesel configuration pushes out 204bhp and offers a choice between a manual or an automatic gearbox. For buyers requiring maximum traction, the 4WD setup remains restricted to the diesel lineup.

The Fortuner continues to win over buyers through its traditional ladder-frame architecture, elevated seating posture, and dependable highway cruising capabilities. While the Legender offers a more refined, dual-tone exterior, the GR-S trim provides distinct styling enhancements and a tuned suspension, offering a slightly sportier drive for the segment.
