Volvo XC40 Preview
Swedish luxury car manufacturer Volvo is apparently developing a compact luxury crossover. Expected to be named the XC40, the compact-crossover will slot below the company’s XC60 and will rival against cars like the Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and BMW X1. The new vehicle will be underpinned by a new Common Modular Architecture (CMA) that’s jointly developed by Volvo and its China-based parent company, Geely. The Volvo XC40 is speculated to come powered by a brand new 1.5-litre, turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine. A plug-in hybrid and diesel powertrain will also be offered.
