TVS Star City Plus

TVS Star City+ has been updated with a disc brake for the 2021 model year. The addition of a disc brake assembly in the front has made it dearer to its customers by Rs 2,600 over the standard variant. The 2021 Disc brake variant of the TVS Star City+ retails for Rs 68,465 ex-showroom.

Along with an updated brake setup the Star City+ is offered with features such as an LED headlamp assembly, 5-step adjustable rear shock absorbers, instrument cluster with a part digital display, USB charging socket and a five-year standard manufacturer warranty.

Powering the commuter motorcycle is the same 110cc air-cooled engine that employs an electronic fuel injector. The power is rated at 8bhp at 7,350rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The engine comes mated to a four-speed gearbox.

On the safety front, both the drum and the disc brake variant come equipped with a combined braking system.

Cycle parts include 17-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres. The top of the line disc brake variant gets a 130mm rotor in the front while the rear brake gets a 110mm sized drum unit.

The 2021 TVS Star City+ is priced in the segment where it rivals the Hero Passion Pro, Honda CD 100 Dream, Honda Livo as well as the Hero Splendor iSmart 110. Also, the TVS Star City+ eats into space shared by the TVS Radeon and adds to the sibling rivalry.
