2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 price hiked silently and launched with a new colour

Yamaha India has introduced a new colour for the 2021 YZF-R15 V3. Along with a new colour scheme, Yamaha has also revised the bike's prices.

Yamaha has updated the colour palette for the YZF-R15 V3 and for the 2021 model year (MY21), the supersport gets a new Metallic Red colour on offer. That makes for a total of four colours to choose from should you wish. The new Metallic Red colour has been priced at Rs 1,52,100 ex-showroom, which is a shade lower than the most expensive Matte Black (Dark Knight) colour scheme priced at Rs 1,54,200.

That said, Yamaha India has silently hiked the price of the YZF-R15 V3 across the range. The colour Matte Grey (Thunder Grey) is the most affordable colour scheme of the lot, priced at Rs 1,52,100. The new price has been hiked by Rs 2,500 as reported by autoX in the first week of March 2021. The Racing Blue colour scheme has seen a hike of Rs 2,500 as well, and the motorcycle now retails for Rs 1,53,200. The Matte Black (Dark Knight) colour scheme mentioned above has also seen a price bump of Rs 2,500.

Mechanically, the motorcycle is the same. It continues to be powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The power figures are rated at 18.3bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. Features include dual-channel ABS, slip-and-assist clutch and an all-digital instrument cluster.
