Harley-Davidson, the US-based auto manufacturer, has launched the 2023 version of its Sportster S motorbike in the Indian market for Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike comes in just one fully loaded variant. The major highlights of the bike include its eye-catching design and a long list of electronic riding aids, which consist of a lean-sensitive traction control system. A 1,252cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine with a maximum power output of 120.6bhp provides the engine's power. To further personalise the two-wheeler, the company is also selling a wide range of accessories in our home market. In terms of hardware, the motorcycle's 43mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock are responsible for the suspension duties. Compression, rebound, and preload settings are adjustable on the front forks and rear monoshock. A single disc with a four-piston calliper at the front and a single rotor with a single-piston calliper at the back are responsible for the braking. Here are the other key details about the newly launched 2023 Harley-Davidson Sportster S.

The 2023 Sportster S's distinguished styling, which includes a single-pod headlight, a small fuel tank, a single-pod instrument cluster, a flat handlebar, a saddle designed exclusively for the rider, a twin-pod exhaust, and fat-profile tyres, has not changed. According to the manufacturer, the exhaust is made of 304-series stainless steel, which resists corrosion. The Revolution Max 1250T engine is completely visible thanks to the sparse use of body panels. A large selection of accessories will be available from Harley-Davidson India to further customise the motorcycle.
It is important to note the motorcycle is offered in a single variant and four colour options: Vivid Black, White Sand Pearl, Grey Haze, and Bright Billiard Blue. The Harley-Davidson Sportster S's ex-showroom cost is affected by the paint option that the rider opts for. The least expensive on the lineup is the Vivid Black colour, which has a price tag of Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The remaining colour options retail for Rs 14,000 more than the Vivid Black paint scheme.
As mentioned earlier, the 1,252cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled engine remains part of the 2023 Harley-Davidson Sportster S's mechanical specifications. This motor, which is linked to a six-speed transmission, is callibrated to produce a maximum power output of 120.6bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 125Nm at 6,000rpm. This engine's claimed fuel efficiency is 5.1 litres/100 kilometres (19.60km/l).
