2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 Launched at Rs 10.17 Lakh in India

Triumph has launched the Street Triple R and the Street Triple RS in India at Rs 10.17 lakh and Rs 11.81 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom. Both models have arrived with several updates for 2023. Bookings for the bikes have been underway since December for Rs 50,000.

The 2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 has finally been launched in India. It gets two variants: the Street Triple R and the top-spec Street Triple RS. Prices for these variants begin at Rs 10.17 lakh and Rs 11.81 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom. The limited-edition Moto2 model will not be available in our market. The two-wheeler manufacturer commenced bookings for the models at Rs 50,000 in December 2022.  With the triple-cylinder motorcycle's 765cc displacement, the Street Triple range now includes "765" in its name. With engine modifications from the Moto2 race programme, Triumph claims to offer more torque and better overall responsiveness with bikes, providing a more potent version of the Street Triple yet. For 2023, the firm has introduced motorcycles with a range of cosmetic improvements and features. Let's delve deep into the engine, price, and other information about the new Street Triple RS and the Street Triple R.

2023 Triumph Street Triple R, Street Triple RS: Engine Specifications

The Street Triple's 765cc displacement is said to produce more torque and improved overall responsiveness. On the Street Triple 765 R, the liquid-cooled engine now delivers 118.4bhp of power at 11,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm. The top-spec Street Triple RS variant, meanwhile, with the same engine offers 128.2bhp of maximum power at 12,000rpm, which is 6bhp more than before, and 80Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm. 

The new Street Triple 765, according to Triumph, offers a wide distribution of torque in the midrange category. The engine has undergone a number of improvements as well, including a greater inlet port flow and a 4.7% increase in compression ratio. The valves and camshafts are new too, along with the conrod and the grudgeon pin.

2023 Triumph Street Triple R, Street Triple RS: Design, Colours & Dimensions

The 2023 Triumph Street Triple roadster line gets several upgrades in terms of appearance. The addition of a new fly screen, a contoured fuel tank, a higher tail section, and modified fuel tank extensions has made the Street Triple sportier than its predecessor. The duo also gets the company's bug-eyed LED headlamps up front.

Indian buyers can choose from the two colour options for the Street Triple 765 R: Silver Ice and Crystal White. However, the Street Triple 765 RS, is available with three paint schemes, including Cosmic Yellow, Carnival Red, and Silver Ice.

On the dimensional front, the new Triumph Street R and the RS have seat heights of 836mm and 826mm, respectively. They have received a new 12mm wider handlebar, making it easier for the rider to turn into a corner with less steering effort.

The Street Triple R gets a Showa piggyback and a 41mm upside-down (USD) piston fork. However, the Showa 41mm USD big piston forks and the Öhlins piggyback reservoir rear shock are only available on the RS model. Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial monobloc callipers and a Brembo single-piston sliding calliper make up the Street Triple R's braking system, whereas the Brembo Stylema 4-piston radial monobloc front callipers with dual 310 mm floating discs and a Brembo MCS master cylinder is standard on the RS.

Coming to the features, the Street Triple RS and the R get traction control and cornering ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard. Additionally, both models include a bi-direction quick shifter, Showa forks, and monoshock. They come fitted with 17-inch cast aluminium wheels at both ends. The RS model has a 5-inch TFT panel for accessing the electronics' settings, whereas the standard R version has a simpler, Trident-like display. Moreover, the R model has four riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport, and Rider. On the other hand, the RS variant comes with five riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport, Rider, and Track.

The new Triumph Street Triple 765 range will compete with models like the BMW F 900 R, the Kawasaki Z900, the Ducati Monster, and more in India. As mentioned earlier, the bikes cost Rs 10.17 lakh and Rs 11.81 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.
