The 2024 iteration of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR has been launched in the international market with a couple of upgrades. Available in two colour options – Lime Green and Ebony – the litre-class supersport bike is priced at $ 30,499 (around Rs 25 lakh, ex-showroom) in the American market. Mechanically, the Ninja ZX-10RR is powered by a 998cc in-line 4-cylinder engine, which churns out 211bhp of power at 14,000rpm and 112Nm of peak torque at 11,700rpm. Power transmission is carried out by a six-speed unit. The motorcycle gets a raft of rider aids, including an anti-lock braking system, a bi-directional quick-shifter, an engine braking control system, cruise control, launch control, power modes, and an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), which controls the traction control system.

2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR's New Variable Air Intake System: What is it?

The 2024 Ninja ZX-10RR is track-focused and has a sporty design. It gets a few performance enhancements, such as a new variable air intake system (VAI) at the centre, which consists of a pair of movable intake funnels that function in accordance with RPM (rotations per minute). The intake air passes through the system as the funnels are raised, optimising performance at high RPM. On the other hand, the intake funnels are up to 35mm higher in their lower position, enabling easier passage of the intake air and, thereby, improving performance in the low- and mid-RPM range.
