Over the past ten years, the TVS Jupiter has been one of the best-selling two-wheelers in the country and a major source of revenue for the brand. Both the 110cc and 125cc avatars are available in the Indian market. In an interesting development, TVS is all set to roll out a revised version of the 110cc model this week. The new Jupiter is expected to receive significant improvements over the existing model. TVS recently shared teaser images of the soon-to-be-launched model on its social media handles, giving a sneak peek at the exciting updates the popular scooter will bring to the market. Moreover, the teaser also revealed the official launch date of the 2024 Jupiter 110 – August 22.

The new full-length LED light bar on the upcoming 2024 Jupiter doubles as LED indicators, as seen in the teaser. Although there aren't many specifics in the teaser, we anticipate seeing a new LED headlamp, a revamped taillamp and rear section, updated switchgear, a redesigned front apron, a display console, new alloy wheels, an improved seat layout, new colour options and graphics for the scooter. All in all, the new Jupiter might benefit from a more upscale and contemporary look to effectively compete with petrol-powered and electric scooters.
When it comes to the mechanicals, the bikemaker will likely retain the engine configuration of the previous-gen model. The 110cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with Ecothrust Fuel injection (ET-Fi) technology, which generates 7.4bhp of maximum power and 8.4Nm of peak torque, is anticipated to propel the new model. A CVT transmission transfers power to the rear wheels.
Features-wise, TVS is anticipated to provide a fully digital instrument cluster in the top-spec trim, which may benefit from Bluetooth connectivity and further connectivity options through the TVS SmartXonnect app. Other features include a boot light, a hazard light switch, a USB charging port, an electric starter generator, auto engine start/stop, and turn-by-turn navigation. The floorboard-mounted fuel tank, similar to the Jupiter 125, is another useful improvement anticipated in the new-gen model. This modification might lead to a roomier under-seat storage compartment – possibly sufficient to fit two helmets – making it a sensible option for city commuters.
In terms of hardware, the new TVS Jupiter 110 will probably use an underbone chassis supported by a rear monoshock and telescopic front forks. Both ends should have drum brakes for stopping, with the option of a front disc brake. Expect the scooter to ride on 12-inch wheels with 90/90 tyres wrapped around them.

As for the price, the TVS Jupiter 110 is expected to begin at approximately Rs 77,000, putting it in a competitive position within the industry. Thanks to its blend of current amenities, contemporary design, and practicality, it will likely appeal to a broad spectrum of riders. Upon launch, the new TVS model will take on the likes of the Honda Activa 6G and Hero Pleasure.
