2024 Yezdi Adventure

Classic Legends has launched the redesigned Yezdi Adventure in India, with an ex-showroom price tag ranging between Rs 2.10 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh. When compared to its predecessor, this represents a price decrease of about Rs 5,000. With the most recent refresh, the adventure tourer has undergone several cosmetic and mechanical improvements to better compete with popular market rivals.

Commenting on the launch, Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles said, 'The Yezdi Adventure has always embodied perfect balance, born to conquer any terrain. Now, we're redefining that balance. We've put in our new Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine, and retained the six-speed gearbox while adding crucial features like switchable ABS modes. But here's where we truly disrupt: we've created the perfect trinity of bold design, advanced features, and unbeatable performance. We have now added another layer of disruption to the price. So now, this isn't just an upgrade - it's a category revolution. I'm certain the new Yezdi Adventure will dominate as the ultimate choice for serious adventure riders. It's not just a motorcycle; it's the new benchmark in its class.'

The updated bike gains new colour options in the form of Tornado Black, Magnite Maroon, Glacier White, and Wolf Grey. The former two paint jobs are more expensive than the latter ones.

New Yezdi Adventure: Design and Features

Comparing the 2024 Yezdi Adventure to its larger predecessor, it has a more streamlined profile. Furthermore, the bike has slimmer tank rails with an "ESTD 69" sticker but still has its classic LED headlight and indicators. The revised appearance of the model is complemented by slight modifications made to the iconic Yezdi grille, which now seems more seamlessly incorporated into the general layout, adding to the Adventure's tough yet contemporary charm. The fuel tank sports updated graphics. The TFT instrument cluster, which has replaced the old unit, is a notable feature. Other features include multiple ride modes, USB charger, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation.

New Yezdi Adventure: Mechanical Updates

In addition to aesthetic modifications, there are minor mechanical ones. A 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 29.68bhp of maximum power and 29.84Nm of peak torque powers the bike. The bikemaker refers to it as the Alpha2 engine and claims that compared to the previous bike, it is more refined and durable. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

However, there is a significant change in the new exhaust pipe and its routing. The redesigned exhaust pipe header travels from beneath the engine to the back of the exhaust, in contrast to the previous bike's design where the exhaust pipe ran down the side of the engine. As a result, the coolant reservoir has been relocated behind the airbox from the space behind the sump guard. Though the sump guard is new and covers the engine more thoroughly than the previous one, the suspension setup, wheels, and tyres remain the same.

New Yezdi Adventure: Competition Check

The Yezdi Adventure is positioned as a competitive option in the segment with its aggressive price approach and new colour options. Its main rivals are the KTM 390 Adventure and the soon-to-be-launched Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Additionally, the Adventure undercuts competitors like the Hero XPulse 200 and Honda CB200X.
