Ather has introduced a cruise control feature for the 2025 450 Apex, making its electric scooter one of the appealing options in the premium two-wheeler segment. The new feature called 'Infinite Cruise', is more advanced than the traditional cruise control, according to Ather, and comes with three distinct modes (City Cruise, Hill Cruise, and Crawl Cruise) tailored for different riding conditions. The City Cruise is optimised for city riding, allowing riders to maintain a steady speed on flat roads. It reduces the need for constant throttle adjustments in stop-and-go traffic.
The Hill Cruise, on the other hand, assists with managing inclines and descents. It precisely delivers torque for uphill climbs and uses the scooter's regenerative braking (via its Magic Braking Algorithm) to maintain a constant speed on downhills, minimising the need for manual brake input.

Meanwhile, the Crawl Control, a unique feature exclusive to the Apex, allows the rider to maintain a very low, steady speed of around 10km/h. It is particularly useful for navigating congested lanes, parking, or handling rough terrains.
The new Infinite Cruise feature on the 2025 450 Apex makes using cruise control easier than ever. It can be activated using the existing reverse button on the handlebar, provided the scooter is travelling over 10km/h. Once engaged, the system locks the current speed and remains active even with throttle input. If the scooter slows to a stop, cruise control automatically pauses and seamlessly resumes when the vehicle accelerates back to the set speed, with no need for reactivation.

The new feature will come with the new 2025 Ather 450 Apex, while existing owners will receive it through an over-the-air (OTA) software update.
The Ather 450 Apex uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with a peak power output of 9.39bhp and 26Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 3.7kWh lithium-ion battery and has an ARAI-certified range of 157 kilometres (a more practical 'TrueRange of around 110 kilometres in Eco mode). For charging, the scooter takes approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes to go from 0 to 100% using a standard home charger.
