Bajaj Auto has launched the 2025 Pulsar NS 400Z in India, priced at Rs 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom). At first glance, it appears quite similar to the outgoing model, but under the surface, it packs a bunch of changes. The engine is still the same 373cc single-cylinder unit, but Bajaj has squeezed more power out of it. Now producing 43bhp (up from 40bhp), the bike also features a higher redline in Sport mode, revving to 10,700 rpm. Even the top speed has gone up to 157km/h, a 7km/h jump from before. These changes mean the NS 400Z now feels quicker and more alive, especially when pushed hard.

Bajaj hasn’t stopped at just improving power figures. The bike now does 0–60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, half a second faster than the earlier model. The 0–100 km/h dash has also improved to 6.4 seconds. Thanks to a reworked transmission, the gear shifts feel smoother, making both city commuting and weekend rides a lot more fun and less tiring.

To make the riding experience even more confidence-inspiring, Bajaj has introduced sintered brake pads. These reduce the stopping distance by about 7%, offering a better braking feel. Buyers can also choose a wider 150-section rear tyre for more grip. Together, these changes will bring better control whether you're cornering in the ghats or cruising on the highway.

The NS 400Z takes on rivals like the KTM 390 Duke, TVS Apache RTR 310, Royal Enfield Guerrilla, and Triumph Speed 400. With its increased power, quicker acceleration, and improved handling, Bajaj positions the NS 400Z as a strong choice for riders who want performance without breaking the bank.
