2025 KTM 390 Adventure S, Enduro R Unveiled at India Bike Week 2024

At the India Bike Week 2024, KTM unveiled the much-anticipated 2025 390 Adventure S and the Enduro R models. The 390 Adventure S is designed for those seeking a versatile adventure touring bike, featuring advanced suspension, improved electronics, and a refined engine for enhanced comfort and performance on diverse terrains. The Enduro R, on the other hand, is built for hardcore off-road enthusiasts, offering superior durability, rugged suspension, and powerful off-road capabilities. The 390 Adventure range will include the 390 Adventure S, 390 Adventure X, and the 390 Enduro. These new models highlight KTM’s strong presence in the adventure segment, promising thrilling riding experiences for Indian motorcyclists and further solidifying KTM’s position as a leader in the adventure touring and enduro categories.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure S

The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure S is positioned as a high-end, feature-rich motorcycle in its class. From a design perspective, the model closely resembles the Adventure R, which was recently showcased at EICMA in Milan, Italy. Key features include dual LED headlights flanked by LED DRLs, a tall windscreen, a vibrant orange and white colour scheme accented with blue highlights, a black-painted frame, LED taillights, rear indicators, and a fully digital TFT display.

The motorcycle is built around a trellis frame and is equipped with adjustable USD front forks and a rear monoshock. A significant difference from the Adventure R is the smaller rear wheel size. The Adventure S features a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, in contrast to the R’s 19-inch rear. Both wheels are fitted with Apollo Tramplr tyres, designed to perform well across a range of terrains.

Mechanically, the 390 Adventure S utilises the same 399cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the 390 Duke, paired with a six-speed gearbox. This unit produces 44.25bhp and 39Nm of torque but detailed specifications of the Adventure S will be announced closer to its launch.

Additional features include multiple riding modes and dual-channel ABS, ensuring enhanced control and safety. With disc brakes on both wheels, the Adventure S promises strong braking performance, making it a versatile machine for riders who enjoy both road and light off-road adventures.

KTM 390 Enduro R

The 390 Enduro R is a rugged, off-road-focused iteration of the 390 Adventure. It is fitted with a 21-inch front wheel that features a more aggressive tyre tread, enhancing its capability on challenging terrain compared to the 390 Adventure. At the rear, the bike sports a 17-inch wheel, and the increased seat height likely contributes to improved ground clearance.

The bike also houses the same engine as the 390 Duke. However, the performance figures for the Enduro R remain under wraps as well and are expected to be revealed closer to its scheduled launch in 2025.

The suspension system includes adjustable WP Apex components. Riders will also benefit from a dedicated switch to disable the rear ABS when needed. The 390 Enduro R is equipped with a sleek LCD instrument cluster. Additionally, the bike features all-LED lighting throughout. Overall, this model is tailored for more demanding off-road use than the Adventure S.
