KTM has launched the 2026 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R, giving both bikes a Euro 5+ compliant LC4 engine, upgraded electronics, and revised styling. The updates aim to deliver smoother performance and better connectivity while retaining the distinctive feel of the 690 range. The LC4 single-cylinder remains the most powerful in its class, and KTM has worked on improving rideability for both off-road and on-road use.

The 2026 690 Enduro R keeps its go-anywhere focus but now produces 78bhp and 73Nm from the updated 690cc engine. KTM has revised the crankcase, clutch, fuel pump, oil delivery system, and valve timing, while adding a compact muffler.
Styling changes include new bodywork with LED lighting and integrated mould-in graphics, paired with WP suspension built for challenging terrain. Standard features include lean-sensitive ABS, cornering traction control, and a Rally mode for adjusting traction and motor slip.
The 2026 690 SMC R is aimed at supermoto riders, sharing the same LC4 engine upgrades and adding refined throttle response for track and street riding. It uses WP suspension tuned for agile cornering and braking. The electronics package includes launch control, a five-stage anti-wheelie system, a slip adjuster, and Supermoto ABS settings.

Both bikes now come with a 4.2-inch colour TFT display that connects to smartphones via KTMconnect. Riders get USB-C charging, music and call controls, and turn-by-turn navigation. Backlit switchgear ensures easy operation in different lighting conditions.
