Aprilia RS457 GP Reprica

Aprilia showcased the RS 457 GP Replica version of its popular entry-level supersport at EICMA, and we speculate that this cosmetically upgraded version, featuring additional equipment such as front brake pads, could be on the cards for India.

Though the Noale-based manufacturer hasn’t officially commented on the launch of the race-inspired bike, rumours suggest that it could make its way to our shores, similar to the SR-GP Replica 175, which went on sale priced at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom) in September this year. Like the scooter, the MotoGP-inspired RS 457 may also be a limited-edition model. Let’s take a closer look at what the Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica version brings to the table.

Aprilia RS 457 GP Replica: What’s Changed?

The RS 457 is a fully-faired sportbike designed for enthusiasts who crave track-level performance. The GP Replica edition retains the core design while introducing striking race-inspired touches. The bike is draped in the official RS-GP MotoGP livery, with panels featuring a mix of matte and glossy finishes. Red and silver accents complement the factory sponsor decals,  creating a unique race-inspired look.

The GP Replica comes standard with a pillion seat cowl and a bidirectional quickshifter, both of which are optional on the standard version. Additionally, the braking setup now includes high-performance front brake pads for enhanced stopping power.

Aprilia RS 457: Engine and Hardware

The Aprilia RS 457 is powered by a 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 46.9bhp and 43Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. It features a 41mm USD front fork with 120mm of travel and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock with 130mm travel. Braking is managed by a 320mm front disc with a Bybre four-piston radial calliper and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston floating calliper.
