The Italian manufacturer has finally revealed the price of its supersport — the RS 457, at the India Bike Week in Goa. It is the brand's first made-in-India product, with an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 4.10 lakh. The fully-faired motorcycle will be built at Piaggio's Baramati factory in the country. Although the bike was designed and developed at the Italian company's Noale-based headquarters, the Indian team contributed to its production. It shares some design characteristics with the Aprilia RS 660 and the RSV4 and is positioned in the company's portfolio between them. The newly released fully-faired Aprilia motorbike has a bold and aggressive appearance and features several cuts and creases. It has clip-on handlebars up front, an underbelly exhaust, a small curved windscreen, and split LED headlamps, among other design bits. The motorcycle will only be sold through Motoplex dealerships in our market. Before you buy this bike that is now on sale at Rs 4.10 lakh (base price, ex-showroom) in India, let's take a look at its features and other specifications.

Aprilia RS 457: Engine and Hardware

At its heart, the brand-new RS 457 from Aprilia has a 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor. Bolstered by a robust aluminium frame, this engine cranks out 47bhp at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm at 6,700rpm, with a six-speed transmission and an optional quickshifter.

The Aprilia RS 457 rides on 17-inch wheels covered in TVS Protorq Extreme tyres, measuring 110/70 (front) and 150/60 (rear). A 41mm USD fork with 120mm of travel at the front and a monoshock with 130mm of travel at the rear manage the bike's suspension. Preload can be adjusted for both. Moreover, the Aprilia bike has a 320mm front disc with a Bybre 4-piston radial calliper and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston floating calliper for braking.

Aprilia RS 457: Features

A three-level traction control system, an optional quickshifter, and a 5-inch TFT display, and backlit switchgear, are among the prominent features of the Aprilia's fully-faired motorbike. In addition, the two-wheeler has Ride-by-Wire technology with three riding modes, which can modify the motorcycle's power delivery and traction.

Aprilia RS 457: Design

The design cues for the all-new RS 457 come from the bigger RSV4 and the RS 660. Twin LED headlights, clip-on handlebars, an underbelly exhaust, a full fairing, side fairings with aerodynamic vents, and other features complete the bike's appearance. The bike sports a lightweight subframe for adequate agility, an aggressive riding stance, and a muscular-looking fuel tank.
